Raith started at Luna’s sudden appearance. He turned to her and said, “Quite the flyer, aren’t you?” Raith rolled his shoulders and turned his attention back to the colonists, “How may we be of service?”

The farmer wiped his brow, turning to the group after taking in Luna’s appearance. “..Well if you folks could just keep watch a few yards out by the tree line there that would be a good start. Packs were already sniffing around earlier but backed off when they saw us out here. It’s a bit odd though how they figured out the fencing.” he said pointing to how the fence was a good four stands high and even had a level below ground to dissuade digging. They can’t climb over cause their paws wouldn’t get purchase, nor can they leap over as its far too high, nor can they dig under. But somehow though they got over, but no one saw how. Then to make it all worse, they got back out. Second time they got in they just broke through the fencing! Really shouldn’t be possible unless they got a plow or something which is just insane..” He said shaking his head, “..Anyhow if you two can just keep watch out by the forest line there and make sure nothing disturbs us we can get this fence back up in about half and hour or so if we’re not disturbed.” he said.

Looking over things briefly the fence was indeed broken as said, the planks were about a good 5 inches or so thick and of solid quality. Unless these wolf packs could take a heavy body slam without injury, repeatedly then it seemed off they could have broken it outright, much less as the farmer said jump over. But with nothing else to go on for the moment them guarding the area seemed the best course of action for now.

” Lets put are wepons on stunn if they get close many we can catch one and have science take a look at it” Luna sigested.

Raith looked at the fencing with a pensive expression. “You’re right, sir,” He said to the farmer, “Damn strange. Let’s put our Phasers on the highest stun settings we can,” Raith said to Luna as he adjusted his weapon, “Anything that can do that to a fence and still move about after is likely to be a tough specimen whatever it is. Wish I had thought to bring a KaBar knife with me.” With that, Raith began to head over to the treeline, phaser drawn and eyes scanning for wolves.

Luna tapped her commbadge. =/\= Ensign Luna to science. We have some unusually strong wolfs you my be interested in checking out=/\= she said as she moved to the tree line as well. Her own weapon drawn.

As the pair got into position along the tree line, slowly over the next half an hour the farmers and workers began to do their own work. Looking around from the edge of the tree line no obvious signs of wolf packs were present. But disturbances in the dirt showed they had been here recently, any scans taken would indicate a passage of time of about 3-4 hours prior since their watch started.

Meanwhile behind them the workers continued to slowly rebuild the fence line. The local contained bovines inside in another nearby large pen chewed on grass quietly. As the two were spaced about 20 or so feet apart, their noses caught a slight wet fur scent reached their noses.

Noticing the tracks, Raith scanned them to see that they were made a few hours before they took a position. Raith kept his phaser out and set to the highest stun setting, thinking the “wolves” may yet still be in the area. He began to look around for any tracks that he could send scans of to the Ark Angel and perhaps have them cross-referenced against known animals. Something didn’t seem right about wolves being able to damage that fencing.
