Anders had gotten the best off her last time they sparred in the holodeck. She’d not been able to move past the incident and it ate at her with every passing day. On her honor, she promised him there would be a rematch. Today was the day. She held her prized bat’leth in her hand as she made a few aggressive slashes in the air with it. Sifeda felt strong and ready for battle, now she just needed to wait for Anders to show up.Itri, XO
Raith rushed along to the holodeck. He had heard that the XO would take on Anders and desperately wanted to see the fight. He’d been told that Anders had managed to beat her the last time they fought, and then when he was told that the Commander preferred a Bat’Leth, Raith knew he had to see this. He’d been studying Bat’Leth techniques for some time and integrating them into his own longsword and quarterstaff drills. the thought of seeing a bat’leth in action filled him with excitement. He headed into the holodeck, out of breath and looked about, only seeing Lt. Commander Itri. “Ah, Commander!” He said through gasps, “I heard about your rematch and was to sit in for a bit. I am quite fascinated with the bat’leth and its style of fighting Mam.”
Ensign Raith, Security Officer.
Luna setped in a few moments later. ” This should prove intoresting. You know the Commander here is quit the teacher” Luna said with a grin.
Ensign LunaSifeda narrowed her eyes at Raith and said, “Who told you this was a rematch? Has Anders been bragging about his win? Just so you know I lost my footing in the last match and Anders swooped in for the win....like a snake. He won’t be so lucky this time. You can be sure of that.” she said as she gave her bat’leth a complicated spin. “I can teach you how to fight with one. Do you have any experience?” she asked him.
When Luna entered the room and Sifeda gave her a rare grin back. “Thank you, Luna. I don’t think we ever finished our battle training. Let me know when you are ready to resume your training.”Itri, XO
” Let me know when you have free time.” She said then smiled at Raith. ” any im alswas willing to spare just let me know if your intoreated” She added a slightly misgefious grinn on her face.
Ensign LunaHaving caught his breath sufficiently, he was able to look thoroughly impressed by the Commander’s blade work, “Couldn’t say Mam. That’s just the word on deck.” At her offer of instruction, Raith couldn’t stop his eyes from widening, “Some experience, Mam, though not as much as I would like. My experience leans more towards longsword personally.” When Luna entered, he caught her mischievous grin and gave a relaxed shrug in return, “I’m always looking to keep up on combat skills.”

Kyle grinned as he stepped into the Holodeck, having overheard Itri’s comment, “I only brag when it’s justified Commander.”

Kane walked by the holodeck, as he patrolled around the ship getting use to it’s layout and in general trying to learn the ship he was stationed on. As he ventured by, he noticed the holodeck in use, and as curiosity took better of him, and thinking that it may be a good time to learn something about some of his crewmen he stepped to the door and stepped inside. He looked around with a raised eyebrow. Stepping inside he leaned against the doorframe. “What’s going on here?”
Lt. Cmdr. Solomon Kane, XOKyle whirled round and grinned at the sight of the XO, “Ahh Commander, I hope you don’t disapprove of a little holographic sparring to keep our fitness up? A little project Commander Itri and I set up not long before she left the ArkAngel, fancy a round or two?”

Kane’s face was a hard unreadable mask. His eyes shone with something though it too was hard to tell exactly what it was. He raised a hand to his mouth and stroked what is a nonexistent goatee. “Well. Use does two things… it can make one rust, and wear one down… it can also hone one’s edge. So go hard enough to hone yourself, but not enough to cause irreparable damage.” His mask broke as he said the last few words and a smile came upon his face. He straightened up and walked towards Lt. Anders. “However, holograms while good… often don’t offer the unpredictability of the sentient mind. I would much rather fight my spars person to person.” He said grinning.

“I think I know a challenge when I hear one Commander, pick your weapon of choice!” Kyle grinned and leant against the bulkhead.
