As Guy wrote down some points about Mazi’s personality, he took a pause and looked back and forward to Mazi and the Notebook, Mazi and the Notebook, before he could speak and say something “Really interesting… Alright Lieutenant, let’s see something more in deep. Do you perhaps remember some episodes happened to you when you reacted first and actually failed to solve the real issue of the situation? If yes, what was your reaction when you needed to explain it to your superior? I mean we all do errors. My career was an error and my whole life was filled with errors… some more troublesome, some less risky. So if you don’t feel to talk about errors, we can pass to something like, your family.”

She laughed slightly. “I think of the two, I’d rather discuss failures than family.” She thought for a moment and shrugged. “I don’t recall a work incident that fits that, but rather a personal one. And it was misunderstand, as you said. I reacted but it solved nothing. It was a disagreement about work procedures for something or other. The one I was arguing with ran into me in the gym and we had it out so to speak. I took too quick to the goading and we ended up in trouble not just for the behavior but for the stupid reason the behavior began. And yet, after restriction and extra duties, we were still at odds. It took me coming to the Chief and asking how I could get out of the extra duties for him to say I had to resolve the rift, to both our satisfactions. Then the Chief would hear us out and consider the lifting of the punishment.” She sighed remembering the realization that she could have gotten out of the extra duties so much sooner if she and her antagonist had just spoken to one another instead of avoiding each other.

“It took a couple days to corner him where we didn’t end up yelling in two minutes and parting ways before punishments got worse. When we finally talked, we came to a compromise. It seemed that while my way was better as far as a timely manner went, his was better for trouble shooting. So as long as the system was functioning fine, I could check it out and get the needed readings faster. But if the readings came out slightly out of expected ranges, his way was more thorough for finding the issue faster.” She sighed once more. “I have sense learned that when I disagree with someone and we start to get heated, I sit down with them and we ‘side by side’ the issue to show one another how it goes. It usually resolves itself one way or the other a lot faster than arguing.”

Mazi’s antennae had been pressed back slightly from her agitation, but as she came to her conclusion, she, and the antennae seemed to calm down and relax. They settled to a more upright position.

“Well, that’s funny!” He chuckled “anyway, you resolve problems better than me, Mazi.” He looked again to her character for good “so you are a first-responser but can manage your problems as well, if necessary. That’s good and this ship will profit of your temper… If I had a chance to be more like you, I would not be in this place. But well, everyone has their problem.” Guy sighed. Unfortunately being a Counselor was still a problem and the fact he was talking about solving problems hurt his soul, knowing he could do not that much.
Nibbling his pen’s tip, he stopped for a while and slid the edge of the pen on the paper. Then as he seemed having inspiration and analyzed the situation, he started once again writing down stuff.
“I do think people should use more paper. The feedback it gives is so… nice.”

“Listen, what about your family Mazi?” He looked concerned to a point he wrote before “Why you preferred talking about this event than your family? Something’s wrong?” Asked to the Lieutenant as he changed page.
