Keeping it away from any power taps was the key assuming it would, which given what Trainor was seeing on the internal sensors it was quite happy to just chow down on the plant rations. A thought did occur to him perhaps looking for a suitable asteroid for it to call home nearby might entice it off the ship. All things told it did seem likely given the evidence the creature was meant to survive on its own soon after hatching, likely indicating a species with minimal parental attachments. Certainly the fact that from reports the creature was found on a rogue asteroid in the system without a parent supported this.

Mazi tapped her comm and her voice wasn’t one of happiness. =^=Cargo bay to bridge… it seems the thing wants out. I don’t think it’s a good idea. But it seems insistent.=^=

Simon nodded toward the captain and nodded, but also added “It could be possible that it could anger the creature if we take away a type of food source completely. As you mentioned, it would be a good idea to isolate the power from the cargo bay so that it doesn’t affect other systems, but I suggest leaving an energy source for a potential food supply should it be needed,” he said turning to Miz’uki.

”..I concur Commander..” Drudoc said looking at the internal sensor video feed of the creature pawing at the door then looking to Eve and Kala. Switching back to the public comm channel she said =/\= Andone to everyone in Cargo Bay 1, clear the bay and put up a forcefield behind the creature then let’s open the bay door to space to see what it does. =/\= She ordered
Turning to Trainor and the Helm NE. “..If the creature leaves take us to full impulse then and raise shields hopefully it’s instincts lead it to journey off on its own. But if not then want it to realize the ship isn’t its home. Harsh but.....” Drudoc shook her head then but trailed off saying no more to let her orders get carried out.

“We’re green across the board, Captain,” Tenzing replied. “Once that creature leaves the cargo bay, I’ll get the shields up.” The Ops Officer added, hoping the dragon didn’t become drawn to the shields.
