OOC: Just the thread from the Bridge being cross posted to here. feel free to post here and/or there as you like. :) Tell Jalkov to run the requested checks if you like. He won’t mind, honestly. :D - Russell

IC: The lone occupant of the general science lab was enjoying the silence and stillness of the room. It wasn’t to last much longer, however, as the silent stillness of the science lab was broken by a comcall.

=^= Bridge to Science Labs, please come in, =^=

The occupant of the science lab was the poor unfortunate Pakled, Jalkov. Previously, he found himself serving as acting Counselor. But now, he found himself in the General Science Lab. The other scientists in the main were out on the planet, or sleeping, but not Jalkov, no, he was here. It seemed there was little use for his skills as an anthropologist and archeologist for the time being, so he was here, ‘just in case’. He recognised the voice as belonging to the human Counselor that thankfully rescued him from having to deal with people and their problems. At least with the bones and the remains of civilizations, no one was there to tell him what their issues were, and he didn’t have to try to solve them. The long dead bodies and the long lost civilizations didn’t demand answers quickly, and Jalkov approved of that. As a Pakled, he approved of the freedom to take the time he needed to consider the mystery and then respond in the fullness of time.

He was about to respond when he thought he should make sure no one else was around, and so he looked around the general science labs and the nearby specialist labs, hoping for someone, anyone to take the call.

-NE Jalkov

Another NE stepped into the lab. “NE Smith here, go ahead Bridge,” said NE Smith.

GM

=^= The Captain wants you to check whether there have there been any dignitaries other than the Grand Nagus that have gone missing on Feringar in the last several months. If so, she wants to know the story surrounding those disappearances. She also wants to know whether several of the embassies on Feringar shut down due to these disappearances. =^= John-King’s voice floated back over the intercom.

Oh, research, Jalkov, thought to himself, I can do research.

“Smith, I’ll investigate missing dignitaries, you find out about the reasons for the embassies shutting down,” Jalkov said.

“Well that’s easy. It’s been in the Federation News Service. Multiple bomb threats and death threats to multiple embassies and their personnel.”

Going to a computer, Jalkov said, “computer, log into and analyse the Ferengi news services. Identify any dignitaries on Ferenginar other than the Grand Nagus who have disappeared in the last several months and summarise the stories behind any such disappearances for me.”

“Unable to access Ferengi news services. That feature requires a paid subscription,” chirped the computer.

Jalkov opened a channel back to the bridge and replied, “we’re currently getting the answers for you and the Captain, bridge.”

Then the Pakled, having done a bit of work felt the need to rest, and so he relaxed as he waited for the results of his search or for further requests from the bridge.

GM

Just bumping this for the CSO if still a valid thread.

((Seph is on the surface in main Sim… If this is part of main Sim… She’s not available… Meli))

OOC: You could have run with another NE, however to do it.
Russell

IC: “Well, then we won’t do that, computer,” Jalkov said, and then he tapped the combadge =/\= We need a subscription to get the information we need, bridge. Does any one have one of those? =/\=

“Well then computer, run a check of the Federation database of Federation dignitaries assigned to Ferenginar who have disappeared.” Jalkov said, and then rubbed his head, all this work was tiring.
