“Warning: intrusion into computer systems detected. Automated defenses will activate in 10 minutes. Unauthorized personnel are to surrender to Starfleet Personnel,” warned the computer.

From their vantage point, they saw the computer initated an electrical shock to the panel the Naausicans opened up. The aliens howled and screamed in surprise.

Two of them broke off from the group, apparently looking for an alternative access point to climb up.

Seph growled under her breath as they searched with more determination. “Thought they would have left by now. Seems they want something pretty bad to not give up.” She glanced back at her partners to see what they were doing. If they started to leave, she was sure to be on their heels.

Suddenly she had an idea. Moving to the nearest console, she tried to gain access. She wasn’t sure if the computers would be completely locked down because of the breach, but she had to try. “Why are they here? I’m guessing it’s not for us. That seems a bit ridiculous, don’t you think?” If she could get in, she was going to search for a list of high level topics entered in, researched or logged into in the last few weeks. Whatever the Nausicans were here for, it was in the computer banks. At least, she ‘hoped’ it was. Because the alternative was a stint as a potential prisoner of an alien race that wasn’t very friendly. And ‘that’ didn’t sit well with Seph at all.

The only two terminals working was the one at the Ambassador’s desk and a side one that was reserved for the Ambassador’s security. Pulling up a feed of the security camera, showed the Naausicans talking about finding the Federation Ambassador or any Federation Ambassador.

OOC: Oops, looks like Melissa’s reply disappeared....

OOC: My reply is here… other thread (missing the post) was a breakaway I have labeled… Lawrence and Paris’ turn here.... Meli

“Well if worse comes to worse maybe we can just give them Lawrence here,” Paris said dryly. “You would take one for the team right? Seph and I have really really been working on our tans and dank prison cells can make one look so pasty.” Paris was far more serious right now than her words indicated. She just tended to be overly sarcastic when stressed. Paris had no doubt about the tenacity at which her best friend could fight however Paris also understood that everyone had their talents. For Speh that was her incredible intellect.

“Hey Seph, do you think you could rig some kind of scat mat around the door? You know like the one you made for my parents to train the puppy not to jump on the counter tops.” Several months ago, Seph had designed an amazing rubber mat that gave a single electrical zap to anything touching it for longer than 2 seconds. Her mother had said this as the greatest invention ever and immediately stopped the puppy from eating the nightly dinner before her parents could sit down to eat. “Only make this one fry them and not just give a warning tingle. Maybe do something like that Ratness Everseen did in the movie where she electrocuted people to save her team and Jeeta Spurlark. It would help to slow down thier assualt and take a few out before we get bottlenecked in her. “Oh and by the way,” Paris glanced at the monitor. “You have abotu three minutes to come up with something brilliant or a better solution.”

Paris did not doubt her bestie could do it. Seph thrived under pressure or at least made it look that way. Naussicans were by nature tough so anything Seph could do to level the playing field would be appreciated.

Lt. Commander Paris Carisi, COS and best friend to the amazing and marvleous science wiz.

OCC: Sorry I was so late on this. Life kicked me in the arse and I am just removing the foot it left there. ;)

A pounding was heard in the distance. Seems like the Naausicans found a door to break down.
