OOC: Hey people, our Sim has come to an end and we are now looking for a new GM, in the meantime, we have something in mind for the ship.. feel free to join us.

IC: “Ops, beam up the Ambassador and his staff” Mason said as he exited the Ready Room, “and assign them guest quarters. Helm, Once we have them set course for Earth, Warp 8.” With a few quick steps he reached the Command chair, taking the seat until the CO would emerge to take over her ship.

“Tactical, keep an eye on long range scans and activity around the planet. Ferenginar is closed due to an internal situation and I don’t want the Asimov involved any more than we need to, shields up once the transport is complete.”

Once Ops had confirmed the transport, the Asimov departed for Earth and left behind the troubled world.

“All Departments, report” Mason said, “we are en route to Earth with Federation Ambassador’s as guests, lets make sure we have no surprises.”

=^=Everything is looking good as gold down here, Commander.=^= The spiffy voice of the young CE came over the channel. =^=But don’t go testing your boundaries just because the lady’s doing okay, Capishe?=^=

Seph came up to the bridge a bit later and took her station at science. Making sure the usual scans and logging of anomalies while en route back to Earth were programmed in, she leaned back and relaxed a bit. Medical had cleared her and given her a simple pain med for her tension headache. She was glad to be back on the bridge again.

--------------A short time later-------------------------------------

The sensors suddenly lit up. Incoming ship detected.

“I have a shuttle on scanner, Commander. The readings aren’t quite right, they are erratic” the NE at the Ops station said. “Send the readings through to my display” Mason told the NE, then turned the screen so he could see it better.

The shuttle was in obvious distress. No comms were coming from it, but it was on a direct course for the Asimov. Fires flared out from inside the hull and were immediately snuffed by the vacuum surrounding the stricken craft. As it came closer, sensor readings would show bits of the craft floating off behind it, leaving a trail of debris back as far as the sensors could see.

Suddenly, the running lights of the shuttle came to life and started to flash in an odd sequence. It took a moment for the Asimov’s computer to understand, but finally a readout of the Morse Code was transcribed.

“SOS. Injry. Ned help. No fly. No stop.”

Vock, Very-Quickly-Incoming CMO

“Helm drop us out of Warp” Mason said, “Put it upon display”. Once the view screen filled with the image of the shuttle, Mason frowned. The shuttle looked worse for wear, and it seemed to him that it had seen some kind of battle or close encounter of some kind.

“It seems they have no control or way to stop the ship, do we have life sign readings on board?” he asked the ops station.
