Entering the shuttle bay, she pointed to a couple security men. “You there, come help me.” She didn’t stop as her stride bright her to the door panel where she tried to get the door open before medical arrived. Her help would hopefully keep her getting shot if there was something else aboard they weren’t ready for.

Natalie was right behind the rest of the group “What do we have folks?” She said “Give me some sort of information?” She asked.

Andromeda stepped in behind her, making her way over with the requested kit. On the way down, she had detoured to Engineering, in order to grab the supplies, knowing they were already running short on time.

The panel Milestone touched was colder than ice and the pain would cause her to withdraw her hand immediately. It didn’t respond anyway.

“Try this,” Paris said appearing next to her friend and handing the security officers a crowbar to pry the door apart if possible. “Are you okay,” she asked her friend.

The cold burn made Seph yank her arm back. Shaking the hand to bring feeling back to her fingers, she gave Paris half a smile. “Yeah… Thanks.” She took a moment to pat Paris on the arm before she tried the crow bar.

“Sorry for earlier,” she muttered as she put her weight into it. “I know what Lawrence made you withhold from me wasn’t your fault.” She gave a small grunt and a braced shove to see if the door would pry open.

“Im sorry,” Paris said. “I trusted hum because he was our Ex-CO. I won’t make that mistake again,” she admitted.

“Here’s the kit; sorry about the wait.” Andromeda, as quickly as possible, rushed over with the boarding kit, setting it down and tugging it open.

OOC: Apologies about the delay from ENG, I didn’t see this. :)

With the kit and the teams working together the hatch to the charred shuttle opened easily. Inside were three men, all in star-fleet uniforms, all apparently unconscious. The two piloting the shuttle were crewmen. However, the third occupant, a Vulcan in medical blue, the captain would recognize from his star-fleet profile. He was the Asimov’s new Chief Medical Officer, Lieutenant Seddk Vock. All three needed medical attention and quickly.

As they poured in to the shuttle to help the unconscious occupants, Seph found herself kneeling by the doctor. She checked his pulse then grabbed one of the tricorders from one the three or four kits now on the floor of the small ship.

Seeing the injured crew on the shuttle were being attended to, Paris immediately went to the cockpit to try and see if she could pull the ships logs. Maybe there was something there that could explain how the shuttle ended up on their doorstep in this condition.

Readings were called it from those scanning the bodies and the three were soon being secured for transport to medical. Seph couldn’t help but notice how peaceful the Vulcan looked. Almost as if meditating or merely sleeping. Something made her want to see that this one, in particular, was taken care of. Which, again, was slightly it off character for the, usually, lone science officer.

The CSO glanced to the Captain. “Any idea what’s going on? Didn’t know we were expecting guests.” It wasn’t like she would have known about anything in particular about shuttle traffic on and off the ship. As Science Chief, daily running off the ship wasn’t something she usually paid attention to.

OCC Fixing a split ~ Kate

As the CMO lay unconscious, the peaceful look began to fade and he frowned and his eyes could be seen moving rapidly under his closed lids.

Vock the Sleepy

Worried he’d panic while walking, Seph laid her hand gentle on the man’s chest. “Easy, Sir. You’re safe… Try and stay still.”

Her other hand touched his, more or less to keep him from swinging in panic, but also reassure him. “Can you open your eyes?” If he did, he’d see a very concerned woman looking down at him with eyes full of compassion and sympathy.

As his eyes began to move, she moved from just crouching to sitting on her hips. With her legs tucked beside her out of the way, she lightly laid the back of her hand on his forehead to feel for a fever. “Ssshhh.... you are safe. Easy....” Her voice was soft. If Paris was listening, it was certainly not something she was used to hearing from her best friend. The no nonsense, scientist was suddenly crooning over the Vulcan like a sick child. “It’s all right… easy… ssshhhhhh....”

Looking around she wondered if the medical team was going to move them or merely wait for them to wake up here. She was no specialist of Vulcan phsyiology, so she piped up with her concern. “He’s a bit warm and his heart rate seems elevated. What are we going to do about it?” There was an undertone of upset in her voice as well as a need to rush. Whoever else these folks were, they were Fleet personnel. They didn’t deserve to be laying on the floor of a shuttle.

Natalie came over “This is our new CMO, who are the others?” She asked as Paris was at the console “See if you can pull up the crew manifest.” She ordered “Let’s get everyone to Sickbay and get them stabilized.” She said as the shuttle bay crew moved around and took care of their respective duties to the shuttle. “Paris as soon as you have anything contact me.”
