Rebecca walked along the corridors of the Asimov, She had only arrived an hour or so ago. She had dumped her gear, got some food and sorted out her weapons, it felt odd for her to not be wearing her holsters. However she knew it was something she had to do. She doubted anyone would allow her to carry them while she was on a ship. The new environment she was now in was strange to her as well. Everything was so clean and tidy, so polished and ordered. It was a very stark contrast to her previous postings, if you could call her jobs that.

After a few moments she found the sick bay and waked in once there she stood at the door and surveyed the room, her cold brown eyes analysing every detail. Rebecca wasn’t an ugly girl by any means. long red hair , smooth skin and deep brown eyes. But the brutal nature of her life had left its mark. She had a large C shaped scar on the left side of her face going from her temple to her jaw and a burn over her right eye. Once she had spotted a doctor she walked over to them.

“I’m here for my boarding eval” she said plainly.

Lieut (J.G.) Rebbeca Lane (Intelligence)

The tall Vulcan with Lieutenants pips on his collar turned and said simply. “Of course. If you will wait one moment, I will be with you momentarily.” and he turned away and moved towards a nurse standing next to a biobed on which laid a human male, his right arm bandaged from hand to elbow. The blackening of his uniform indicated some form of thermal accident. “Monitor vitals for thirty minutes, please. Any signs of irregular heartbeat or respiratory distress, call me immediately. Thank you, Nurse Holt.” The nurse nodded in silent acknowledgment and returned to her patient.

The Vulcan returned and said “Now then. Please follow me.” and turned and walked a bit further into Sickbay to a vacant biobed on the starboard side of the room. “Please be seated. Sate your name, rank, and section please.” he instructed as he activated the scanners.

Rebecca sat down on the Bio-bed and studied the Vulcan. “Lieutenant junior grade Rebecca Lane, Star fleet intelligence” she said simply. The scan would show that Rebecca’s body was covered in scars, from medical patch ups done, either by someone who had little medical experience or with only access to poor equipment. In fact one of the wounds near her knee, the most recent, still had a small piece of metal in it. The rest of her body was covered in more scars, however these where from injuries sustained either on duty or in earlier parts of her life. They had healed but the evidence of them was still there. Finally her body had many old burns they were on her right arm, across her chest, on her left leg, her right foot and of course over her right eye. Other then these she was in perfect health.

Lieut (j.g.) Lane (Intelligence)

The CMO gave no indication of surprise or shock at the multiple injuries, both past and present, that were evident on the woman’s body and in her record. Finishing his scans, he said “Do you have any discomfort in your knee? There is a small foreign body present that will need to be removed at some point, the earlier the better to avoid the creation of any more scar tissue around the site. And if you find the scars limiting your mobility in any way, we can address those as well. Any history of illness or unreported injury, Lieutenant?” he asked flatly, as if seeing this amount of scarring and wear and tear was an everyday occurrence.

Rebecca listened to the Vulcan “Dam it. Must be the knife tip, that would explain why it didn’t go into him smoothly. Bloody green skin” she said more to herself then anyone else “Well we better get that out. How about now. I’m here and you’re here” She said simply

“As for any other injuries Nothing. Although I’ve been threw the ringer so many times, i might of missed one or two but nothing huge”she said amusement in her voice.

Lieut j.g. Lane (Intelligence)

Vock merely asked “Have you completed your check ins, Lieutenant? There will be some small recovery time and I do not wish for that to interfere with your arrival. I can schedule you for the procedure…” and he looked at the PADD in his hand and tapped a few commands, “… tomorrow at 1800 hours ship’s time. That will allow for the procedure and your recovery time overnight.”
