“Where is Commander Jarrett?”

GM

Per Starfleet General Order Article 14, Section 31 which allows officers to use of “extraordinary measures” in times of dire emergency, I stunned the man and Greer removed him from the bridge. Can we get you something to drink? Coffee, tea or something with a bit less caffeine,< Paris replied in her head. There were a lot of other security regulations but Article 14 and her sworn duty to protect her captain from any threat real or perceived justified her actions. Paris had no idea what the man was capable of. He was clearly exhibiting conduct unbecoming an officer so that meant he was unpredictable and unpredictability led to security concerns.

Paris let her gaze fix on the screen. Admirals, especially pompous ones, like on the screen now held no respect or authority in Paris’ book. This Admiral would threaten the crew again and probably express righteous indignation. The truth was the Admiral was ineffectual and a coward hiding behind their pips, shouting and acting as if they had an iota of concern for the people the were commanding. If they did, they would impart even the barest details with sincerity and respect. They would not scream and rant like a toddler on the screen every time she contacted the ship. If they were someone to respect, the Admiral would display the calm control of Captain Greer. The fact the Admiral was ten shades of red and seemed barely able to form a word just made the woman look more incompetent to Paris. Security protocols were in place and Paris as security chief had made a choice. The current nature of their assignment and the threatening manner to which Jarrett was exhibiting fit the criteria for Paris to be concerned for her Captain’s safety and act.

Lt. Commander Paris Carisi, COS

Cmdr Black, XO

Vock, CMO

Natalie held the Admiral’s gaze “He has taken ill. He’s currently in Sickbay being treated. Now, how can I help you Admiral. We are in the middle of trying to figure out the situation and trying to prevent additional deaths.” She said calmly and with a clear desire to get on with their current orders. I am sure that we can get him a message if you would like to encrypt it.” She offered “We want to make sure that he is healthy and ready to help us in this investigation.” She said.

CO

The admiral ignored the rest of Greer’s pointed message. “Ill how?” she demanded. “He was perfectly healthy when I sent him on board your ship, Captain. Perhaps I should find someone else to handle this if you can’t keep one attache in good health.” Her voice moved from filled with anger to filled with disdain and sarcasm. “Perhaps I need to accompany you on your mission.” She left the veiled threat hanging as she stared down Greer.

GM

OOC: Quick Question, did we get an update about the sim so far? I have to admit I am slightly lost from earlier when Andy was GM and I was a bit busy. If possible can we get a quick rundown at all, unless I totally missed it?

-Dave

“Maybe the Admiral contacted us because she has a message for him, Captain.” Mason said quietly to Greer, standing just behind her. “I mean she can’t have known what happened can she, that would mean she has a method of communication and tracking better than Federation standard equipment. I’m no Vulcan but if she has access to that, needing us to track these attackers doesn’t seem logical when her resources are greater.”

Cmdr Black, XO

Natalie nodded at Black “I’m not a medical person, Admiral. What I can tell you is he was on the Bridge, collapsed and ended up in Sickbay.” She said “I’ll make sure to update you on his condition as soon as I know more.” She said “Now moving on, if you need to get him a message, we can make sure that he gets that once he is feeling better.” She said “Do you have additional information on our information?” She asked “If so, please provide the information so we can get back to our mission. You are delaying our investigation and thereby possibly costing more lives.”

CO

The admiral’s face looked something similar to if someone had told her that Jarrett had become an elephant and run off to join the nearest circus. “You will find out what happened and what is status is immediately.” She looked as though she was going to leave it there, but she just couldn’t resist one final comment. “It seems you’re the only one down a life at the moment.” The communication channel ended abruptly. Sensors showed that the admiral’s ship dropping out of warp nearby.

GM

His status ma’am is he got witch slapped by a buck and a quarter girl because he lacked all sense of manners or decorum. Much like you, Paris replied as she locked eyes with the Admiral. “Captain, sensors are showing Witch Hazel the Admiral just dropped out of orbit,” Paris combined inner and verbal monologues.

Lt. Commander Paris Carisi COS

“Is she seriously following us?” Natalie said outloud as she watched the ship materialize “There is something off about this.” She said “What do we have thus far on this situation.” She asked anyone on the Bridge.

CO

“It appears so Captain,” Paris stared. “And makes me question her and her motives. When have you ever had an Admiral this foolish. I mean she sent us out here because Federation ships are being blamed for attacking other ships. Now she is popping up out of the blue. Makes you wonder whose side she is really on.”

Lt commander. Paris Carisi.
