Seeing that everyone was doing well, MacMoragh and Ensign Munchkin left for the outside of the ship. They found an opening.

Ensign Munchkin used his tricorder to scan the exterior. “Breathable atmosphere, temperature is very humid and warm, about 36 C, sir. We won’t need EV suits, but we’ll still need magnetic boots and gloves, sir.”

Grabbing the magnetic boots and a pair of magnetic gloves, the pair proceed out of the ship. “We’ll have to activate the gloves and the boots in free climbing mode.”

Getting to the top they looked around and saw......

OOC: GM what did we see.

OOC: Just for clarification, by top, do you mean on top of the ship?

Yes that is what I meant.

The nearest airlock is Airlock 1 to Main Engineering on Deck 3.

The climb to the top of the ship was a bit long, since they had to climb three decks to the top. The boots and gloves prevented them from falling but did slow progress considerably. It was best not to be sorry, given falling off the ship would surely mean death. There was a lot of moisture on the hull, likely indication that rain had happened recently or at least condensation.

In the distance, they could make out another crashed ship, of Ferengi design, upside down. Munchkin had brought a pair of surveying binoculars from Cargo Bay B before they ventured out. They were surrounded by dense jungle, and the ground scar mark of the Asimov crashing into it. There were burn marks, but whatever fire had started had died on its own either by someone putting it out or by a rain storm.

“Sir! I think I see a Ferengi in the distance…”

“How far away?” answered MacMoragh.

“Maybe they have parts that we could use to get a message out to Star-Fleet?” continued MacMoragh.

MacMoragh.

“Less than a kilometer, seems he’s making his way here. I wonder why?” asked Munchkin, “Should we go down and meet him, sir?”

GM

“I don’t think we have any alternative, we need him more than he needs us. Let’s go meet our guest and see if he will assist us” answered MacMoragh.

“I guess we’ll have to go back inside and get down to Deck 7,” sighed the Ensign.

After an hour of going through the ship, the two arrived at the lower docking port on Deck 7. They activated the manual extension ramp, which was more of feature, than something that was ever going to be used. It was lucky the ship had landed fairly flat and even, but it was definitely not on its landing struts. Something that the two engineers noted, since the structural integrity of the ship was not intended to hold the entire ship for long periods of time on the ground, whereas the landing struts were designed to hold the ship up on the ground. They could get the struts extended manually, but evenly and without power, was a different story.

They found the Ferengi gentleman waiting. “Gentleman, welcome to this deserted planet where subspace communications doesn’t really work. I am Zank, and I happen to save your ship from crashing… but at the great cost of loosing most of my reserve power in my ship… and burning out the remaining of my power generators. Don’t worry, I expect the Federation to compensate me handsomely once we all figure out how to get out of here, I’m keeping a tab of what to bill you all lot later.”
