With the lights on and the ship’s computer running, Solit’s job had become much easier than it otherwise could have been. Using low-power handheld devices without a central communication hub had led to an abundance of manual data entry, and it had become tedious. Now that they had put all of the data they had into a central location, his team was working together far more efficiently.

For the moment, he had his team attempting to come up with at least a local star chart. At worst, it could at least tell them whether or not they were still in the Milky Way; if they were, it might even be able to tell them when they were in time.

The computer could not identify the star configuration at all. There wasn’t anything on record remotely similar. “The computer was able to determine that the anomaly doesn’t cause time travel, but does cause odd shifts,” replied an Sci NE, “Also, there were odd quantum signatures detected in the anomaly.”
