“Commander, has all of your away team returned from the town? I observe that Chief Medical Officer is not present at this staff meeting,” remarked Commander Jevek.

GM

“There was one place, a magic shop, still to investigate. But a member of the party had become unwell and I wanted to brief you all on what we had found so far.” Sara replied.

-Cmdr Sara Kiernan, XO

“A magic shop? Fascinating,” replied Jevek, “While I concur with Chief Science Officer’s idea to visit the town, I feel that we are missing data from the rest of the away team before we consider sending another away team into town.”

GM

OOC: Bump

Starr considered for a moment the options at his disposal. “An unwell crew member? A local pathagen or something more common?” he asked. If there were new diseases out here, it was another thing he would have to consider.

Captain Simon Starr, CO

OOC: that was someone who I believe left, so they were just “escorted back”

-Sam

OOC: Yes.

IC:
“The report from Sickbay, sir, says stomach ache. No infection,” replied Jevek.

GM

It was that moment that the young ensign and the CMO arrived in the Briefing Room.

GM

“Good to hear,” Starr replied. One less thing to worry about at least. As the CMO came into the briefing room, Starr looked to Amber and asked “So, Commander Sara has mentioned you engaged with the locals, what have you learned?”

Captain Simon Starr, CO

OOC: Bump for CMO. Unless you want to ask the Ensign…

GM

OOC: We’ll wait for a couple more days but then we can ask the Ensign instead to keep things moving.

Amber smiled at the lull in conversation as others turned her way. “Sorry, Sir. Got back to the raft site after the last one for the night, I’m guessing.” She moved to her seat and barely controlled her flop into it. She ached and was starving, having not eaten much since lunch. “As to what we discovered,” she laughed lightly, “there is a great Japanese food place that seems to be a portal dimension to someplace else. Locals just accept it as do the clientele and staff at the eatery. We also checked out a magic shop where we got a local map,” she set it on the table. “And if we can supply the shop with some herbs we got a list of, perhaps we could get more info as well as supplies if needed. No one in the shop seemed to know of the island, so I’m guessing we’ll need to scour town or find someone living closer to us that may have knowledge.”

“It was Japanese sir, I can confirm. They gave us English menus, and the waitress said their restaurant was in Tokyo,” reported the Ensign.

She glanced to the XO, “Glad to see you made it back.” She glanced around the table. “So what else have I missed?”
