All hands, this is the Captain speaking. (That was fun.)

Alright. We’re much more active than we were a few months ago, and I’m proud of our crew for doing that. I’d like to gauge your interest in something and gather your ideas.

Our slow posting rate, is it a help or a hinderance? If this speed is comfortable and seems best for everyone, we should absolutely keep it. If your interest is diminished at all by the speed, that’s something to address.

Whatever we do, I’d like to hear your ideas for things we could do as a crew, IC and OOC to promote activity and growth as a ship.

Thanks for being a great crew.

-Sam

I have always found a designated slow posting rate to be a bit of an obstacle in getting new crew and such. Fortunately, we are a small ship. I’m comfortable clicking us up a notch to normal. But I also have no problems with staying slow if that helps other folks stay in the green.

I’m new here, so I’m not sure it’s fair for me to weigh in. As most of you know I can and do post quite fast, but I will absolutely hold back a little if it keeps things manageable for others. Shara goes at her own pace anyways. LOL.

Considering I’d never done anything like this prior to joining the Academy, I love it! And I tend to post quite fast, but that’s only because I check the site like every day! I’m happy to help get more people on board and I will keep posting as fast as people let me! :)

I find a designated posting speed does very little to help or hinder the people on a ship. Fast posters will post fast and slow will post slow anyway. I’m comfortable with a slow posting rate on the clock and new people should be actually looking at the ship before joining to see if it is active and if they want to be a part of it, not just judging it by posting rate.

Personally, I believe keep it slow, and keep watching. If the ship stays active maybe consider changing it in the future. Fast posters will post fast regardless of what the ship speed is. The Azzy was intended to support slower writers and promote quality of writing and stories, I see no need to change it just now (but that’s just me of course).
