Here We Go Again

Posted June 18, 2021, 9:44 p.m. by Lieutenant Commander Bethany Kovra Gadi (Chief of Security) (Jennifer Ward)

Bethany piloted her shuttle, The Athena, with ease. The security system was of course back in place. After being recalled from the Dresden, again, this time being permanent, Bethany had reported back to command. There was much debriefing and then prepping for her new assignment. Bethany had done a lot in her career so far, but this was different. Not outside of her wheel house but different. Back to her roots, instead of where the years had led her. She’d made a stop off at Norda III to see T’Jal, Jake, and F’actar. It was good to spend time with them. T’Jal and Jake had wanted all the news about Dresden. Even after all these years the ship held a special place in their hearts. It’s where they had met, fallen in love, and spent their first years of their marriage together. And even after all these years Jake could still make the half Vulcan T’Jal blush like a school girl. All of their mentees got a kick out of it and they had all paid the price for laughing at her expense a little too much.

Bethany felt refreshed after having spent some time with them. Now, her shuttle was approaching the coordinates for the USS Asimov where she would be taking over as chief of security and employing her skills as an electronic warfare specialist. When T’Jal asked her what she’d be doing Bethany had answered, “I screw with peoples stuff, and when I can’t do that, I mess them up.” T’Jal had laughed and F’actar came around the corner, half Klingon half Vulcan, and roared with laughter, “I always knew you liked me better, Bethany!” It wasn’t too far off from what F’actar had done all those years ago when she’d served.

And there she was, she wasn’t a very large ship but she was impressive non-the-less. F’actar was in the shuttle with her. “I hate I had to leave Luna behind, I’m going to miss having her. I know Jake is totally in love with her though.” F’actar snorted, “I hate ya ain’t keepin ya shuttle, Bethy.” Bethany shrugged, “The ship isn’t big enough to hold her. Nothing I can do about that. I don’t like it, but it’s not like I’m going to need a quick escape from the crew.” F’actar nodded, but she still didn’t like it. She tapped the comms button, =^=Shuttle Athena to USS Asimov. Requesting permission to transfer over your new chief of security.=^=
