He didn’t shy away from the contact. “Finding balance isn’t a finite process… it’s a continuous one. And sometimes you will just fall, but thats okay. As long as you get back up, you can find your balance again.”

Si’Rek

Tilting her head so she could see Si’Rek’s face, Siadra asked, “Have you ever considered a career change? I think you’d make a great counsellor. You are really good at this.”

~Siadra

Si’Rek chuckled and shook his head. “Oh no… I’ll stick with ship warp drives and computer cores. Much less complicated.”

Si’Rek

“Fair point,” Siadra replied with a lopsided smile. “Do you have any plans for those warp drives and computer cores of yours?” she asked curiously.

~Siadra

“After that last mess? Just getting them repaired. They were definitely the worse for wear.”

Si’Rek, CE (At The Time)

“Yeah,” Siadra nodded thoughtfully before taking another sip of wine. “I’ve read the reports of everything that happened . I’m still amazed that the ship made it down to the planet in one piece. Lucky that the Ferengi were there and helped,” she continued, her head tilted slightly to the side.

“ ‘Helped’ is a strong term for what they did. I mean, I am grateful they let us utilize parts from their ship. But in the end it was just so they could get off the planet as well. But then again… they were Ferengi. Altruistic behavior is certainly not the norm.” and he chuckled.

Si’Rek, CE (at the time)

“Didn’t they guide the ship down to the surface with their tractor beam first?” Siadra asked thoughtfully as she tried to remember the details from the many reports she had read since arriving on the Asimov.

Si’Rek smiled. “I’m not really sure. I was unconscious at the time. Woke up the second day planet side to a wreck of a ship and no power. After that, I didn’t really pay attention to how we landed.” and he chuckled softly.

Si’Rek Ops

“Fair enough,” Siadra laughed softly. “And I guess in the end it doesn’t matter. Everyone got safely of that planet and that is all that counts.” Shaking her head she added, “I never imagined my career as First Officer would start with that much excitement. Makes me wonder what Command has in store for us next.” She was hoping for something less dangerous and dramatic, though considering the Asimov’s ship class and mission profile, she somehow doubted that that would be the case.
