Senek would rather not waste time with this. In fact, often, she would have to be chased down for this. But, she figured, if she did not want to waste time later chasing others down, she should set a good example and get her examination done in a timely manner.

So, there Senek sat, in the medical bay that would now be hers, getting one of the doctors she would now be in charge of, to do a pointless examination. On the plus side, she could use the time to meet some of her staff.

One of the nurses who had been working on a nearby station looked up as the doors to Sickbay swished open. With a slight smile on her dark face, NE Makenna Daubney walked over to the new Chief Medical Officer. “Welcome aboard Lieutenant Senek. I’m Ensign Makenna Daubney, one of the nurses on the Asimov,” she greeted her warmly.

“Good to meet you, Ensign Daubney. I’ll be requiring an onboarding exam.” Senek said, nodding. She turned and looked to the rest of the medical bay, taking in its design, how much space there was, and where basic things were located. She could take a more detailed tour later.

“Of course, Doctor. Please have seat on one of the biobeds while I grab your file,” Daubney replied and gestured towards one of the empty beds.

A few short moments later Makenna joined Senek and asked, “Is there anything I should know? Anything that might not be in your file already? For example, have you travelled outside of Federation space in the past six months? Or have you had any injuries or illnesses that aren’t in your file?” There was still a small smile playing across her face and her voice was still gentle, but a glimmer of her to the point and no nonsense attitude began to shimmer through. As it often tended to do in this sort of boarding evaluations.
