The hum of the USS Asimov’s transporter began and a few moments later, Lt. Harrison Callahan, the ship’s newest security AND hem officer materialized. As he stepped off the transporter pad, he was greeted politely by the transporter chief.

“Welcome aboard the USS Asimov, Lt.” The mann stepped from behind the console and handed Callahan a PADD. “All your gear arrived just a while ago and has been delivered to your quarters on deck 4, which is noted on the PADD. On there you’ll also find appointments for your boarding. First up is checking in with the COS. That would be Lt. Cmdr. Gadi. After that, your psych eval with the CNS, Lt. McMillan, and then report to sickbay for your physical. If you need any help getting around, I can assign someone to be your guide.”

Harrison accepted the PADD and glanced over its contents as the the chief spoke. Smiling, he replied, “That won’t be necessary, Chief, my last posting was on the Brave, also a Brazen class. But thanks, all the same.”

Harrison nodded and exited the the room, on his way to meet with his new boss.

Lt. Callahan (Sec/Hem)

As Callahan stepped into the corridor, a figure fell in stride with him, nonchalant and without explanation. Nearly his height, the woman was quite a bit older, though it was hard to precisely mark her age. Middle age, most likely. Thick brown hair without any grey was swept up off her face and shoulders, as tidy as the uniform she wore in command red with an Intelligence insignia. “Do you like adventure, Lieutenant?”

Harrison nodded to the attractive, older woman as she began walking beside him. His green eyes twinkled and his impish grin revealed charming dimples on his cheeks. Keeping pace with her, he replied. “I live for adventure,” he turned to look at the pips on her collar, “Commander. Anything in particular you have in mind?”

Callahan (Sec/Helm)

A rather typical snort sounded from the woman and she just shrugged. “Nope, just feels like it sums up pretty much most of my life and since I’m not sure whether or not my presence here makes things more interesting or not, I figure we should just all brace ourselves for extra adventure, just in case. Though I’ve been known to get myself into and out a scrape here and here and I generally like people who’ve had their own experiences. Since you’re flying this shiny bucket of bolts, I thought I’d gauge what I should brace myself for.”

“He chuckled in return. “I do know from personal experience the Intel people have a habit of making the most mundane of activities and turn them into something memorable. I can guarantee you Commander, with me onboard, you might want to strap yourself in. I plan on making my time here one. . . wild . . .ride.”

Callahab (Sec/Hel)

Shara grinned and stopped and held out her hand to him. “Welcome aboard then. Just do me the favour of giving me a heads up if it’s about to get bumpy. I might be incredibly nosy at times, but I’m not omniscient.... sadly.”

Commander Calloway, CIO

Harrison grinned back as he accepted the proffered hand. “With me at the helm, sir, I promise it’ll be smooth sailing–no bumps–just wild!!”

Callahan (Sec/Helm)

Shara arched a brow at him. “Careful there, Callahan. That’s a hard promise to make and I generally distrust optimistic promises. Too many people die that way. Still, I’m willing to go along for the ride, or rather I’m here either way so we shall see.”

Stepping backwards away from him, the CIO fixed him with a cool gaze and snorting slightly to herself, spun on the ball of her foot and meandered back the way she came.
