He pushed the replicated mug across the desk to her and sat down in the chair with one of his own. “Actually no. This is the part where I tell you that your symptoms can be managed at the moment, to an extent, with the hypo I gave you. But I still don’t have a explanation of why your producing the excess chemicals. So you’re going to go about things as normal and we can work out what’s triggering what. So yeah that means you can have coffee.” He took a drink for his mug and made a face before continuing. “But, you’re going to have to come back here for further tests and im going to want to put a sub-dermal implant in that will feedback changes in your vitals. “

Bethany sipped at the dark liquid life. Okay it was replicated but it was soooo good. She needed to go back to her quarters and make real stuff. She watched him over the rim of the cup, her perpetual grin returning. “First you get my shirt off and now you want under my skin, Doc? You like movin’ fast.” Another savoured sip of the coffee. “Last night wasn’t too bad, I won’t complain if you don’t.” She leaned back against the chair back. “When do you want me to come back for the tests and the implant? And how often do I need that nifty little cocktail?”

Gadi, CoS

Ryley gave a chuckle. “ Oh you have no idea.” He said his eyes alive with mischief. It was gone quickly however as the medicine at hand took over all rational thought processes. “ I can do the implant later today after I program what I want it to do, after that I’d give it a couple of days say a week and then come back and we can go over the data and decide what tests to do. Unless you develop other different symptoms or stronger current symptoms then you come back there and then. I don’t care what you’re doing I mean literally there and then.”

Bethany smirked, “Sure, okay Doc. If someone is firing at us I’ll be sure to call a time out because I need to see the doctor.” The idea seemed to amuse her.

His voice took on more of an authoritative tone as he took a mouthful of his coffee and pointed at her, cup in hand to emphasise his next point. “I don’t make house calls, so if I gotta come hunt you down there will be trouble.”

Bethany leaned forward, cup held in both hands, “Oh Doc, I like trouble. Don’t make promises you won’t keep.” Then she winked at him and laughed.

Ryley smirked back. “Don’t worry Kiddo, I’m pretty sure I can handle anything you can throw at me.”

She gave him a rather blatant appraisal over the rim of her coffee cup, “A challenge!”

Ryley smiled fully this time but didn’t deny or support the comment.

He looked thoughtful a moment, “the hypo I’d say twice a day for just now, morning and night. See how that goes.”

“I need to come in for those, or do I administer those myself?”

Gadi, CoS

He shook his head. “You can do it yourself, so long as you actually you know…do it.”

“Hey I may be a pain to everyone else, Doc, but I try to be a good patient. You tell me I need this stuff I’ll take it....I’ll do it just like you tell me to.” Another sip of coffee, she was going to need more. “Arm, neck, thigh, morning, noon, night, with or without food. Does the dosage stay steady or do I need to adjust it based on a tricorder scan?”

Gadi, CoS

He took the hypo out of his pocket and adjusted it then held it over the desk. “Neck is best, morning and night, the dosage is fixed for now but I’ll program the implant to alert you if you need to adjust it and by how much or if it alerts you and it’ll alert me and I can adjust it whatever you prefer.” He sipped the coffee.
