When Eulailia regained consciousness, she could tell she was still in her full uniform. However, she wasn’t sure if she was in her own quarters, the one she had been assigned to and shared with Martel, or if she’d somehow wandered into quarters that didn’t belong to her and was currently intruding on someone else’s space. She didn’t care because she felt sick, weak and she absolutely could not open her eyes. Besides if the latter was true, obviously the occupant didn’t much care because it seem she’d been there for a while. Surprisingly she didn’t feel the urge to throw up but she had a pounding headache. “Ahhhh….Owwwww!” she whined as she put her hands on her head. “Computer what time is it?”
=^=The time is 5:45am and the USS Asimov is currently traveling in the……..=^=
“Ughhh…computer stop!” she yelled as she felt for the covers and pulled them over her head. The computer’s voice was unnecessarily loud and annoying. I only asked you for the time. she thought to herself. I don’t know if I am even able to report for duty with this headache. Wonder if I am allowed a sick day. In any case she intended to stay where she was until her headache dissipated or until she was able to open her eyes.

Dacascos, COO

OOC: Mind if I get in on this?

-Kieron-

OOC: Don’t mind at all. Jump right in.

Mika

OOC: Cool!

Paddy loved his early morning strolls around the Asimov‘s many corridors. It allowed him to get a general idea of how the crew were feeling at any time. The past couple of months had been… eventful for this small ship’s crew, what with the incidents with Section 31 and the pirates, so Paddy knew that his job was going to be a busy one over the next few months. Rounding a corner on the officer’s quarters deck, Paddy gave a few warm and friendly nods to crewman as they went about their daily business, when, he was almost sure, he heard a rather audible moan coming from Commander Dacascos’ room. Intrigue crossed the counsellor’s face as he crosssed the corridor and tapped the door chime, “Commander? Are you ok in there?”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counsellor-

BUMP

-Kieron-

When she heard the chime she put her hands over her ears, “Oh nooooo. Go away! I am sick!” She had no idea who was at her door. All she knew is it felt like her head was going to explode and she didn’t want them to see her in her current state.

Dacascos, COO

Paddy chuckled, “Oh really? Sounds more like a hangover to me, but I think I know how to solve that. Computer, replicate one Irish coffee, double strength to the replicator in Commander Dacascos’ quarters. I call it the Paddy McMillan Hangover Cure Special.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counsellor-

She flipped the covers off her head, sat up, and pried her eyes open. Her face was on fire and she scrunched it. There was an overwhelming urge in her to start crying from the headache and tiredness. However, she focused on suppressing it as she said, “Come in, Counselor!”

After the doors to her quarters slid open, she pointed to the replicator and said, “Bring it here.”

Dacascos, COO

The doors slid apart and Paddy smiled, “Good morning starshine, the Asimov says hello!” He chuckled and placed the coffee out of the replicator and on a desk in front of Dacascos.

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

At that very moment, Eulailia understood why people said morning people were annoying. Typically she was a morning person but not this morning. In any case, she was appreciative that the Counselor was attempting to help her recover from her hangover. Eulailia looked at the man and then at the cup. She closed her eyes for a moment then said, “Counselor, I am not in any condition nor the mood to stand up just now, so placing the cup on the desk is not going to do me any good at the moment.” She held out her hand indicating she wanted him to bring it to her.

Dacascos, COO

“Your wish is my command Lieutenant,” Paddy passed the cup and saucer across to Dacascos with a grin, “Tell me, do you tend to drink this much after every duty shift, Eulilia?”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

Eulailia took a sip of the coffee, it did have a certain soothing quality to it, so she closed her eyes and took a few more sips before she answered the question. “I actually....this is not my typical behavior. I felt I had stepped on a few toes in the conference room and wanted to take the opportunity to make amends.” She stopped short of naming names just in case she had been involved in something that was forbidden, especially with the drinking of shine and all. She wasn’t trying to be a snitch.
She shook her head in embarrassment, “I must have passed out.” She said as she looked around the room. It was her quarters so one of them must has helped her get to them after passing out.
Holding up the cup, she gave the man a nodding approval, “This is good. You yourself must have experience a few hangovers to be able to recognize that was my issue, even before seeing me in this shameful state and whipping up the perfect remedy.”
After a few moments of analyzing the thoughts in her head she said, “Counselor, I am not sure I am cut out for the mission we signed up for. However I will do my best to ensure the success. Whatever that means.”

Dacascos, COO

Paddy took a seat, “It’s good to relieve stress sometimes, just maybe not as much as you clearly managed to relieve last night,” he grinned. Looking around at Dacascos’ quarters, he gestured to a chair at the end of the bed, “Mind if I sit down?”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counsellor-

“Please sit,” she said as she waited for him to give her some assurance about her reservations about the impending mission. She persisted with her questions so that she might gain a better personality assessment of the man. “So do not avoid my prying Counselor, how often do you find yourself in my situation? Also what kind of name is McMillian, are you a descendent of that old Earth ethnicity that called themselves Irish?”

Dacascos, COO

“Gulty as charged so I am,” Paddy replied, pouring on his accent a little thicker than normal, “And I think the last time I went on a bender as bad as this one was when I was first promoted to full Lieutenant.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

She glared at the man, “I thought you were her to make me feel better, not worse about myself and you still have not answered my other questions.” She looked at her cup and saw it was almost empty, “Besides this was my very first time getting drunk at all. I obviously have not developed a high tolerance level. I am told I will need to get wasted a few more times for that to happen.”

Dacascos, COO

“Well, I know a whiskey distillary or two back home that might be able to help you with that,” Paddy chuckled.

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

“Yes, I am sure you do, Counselor.” She handed him her empty mug, smooth her hair, pulled the covers off her feet and wiggled them before she attempted to stand. When she was on her feet, she stretched then looked at the man. “Thanks for the hangover remedy. I do feel better. I guess I should change into a new uniform and report for duty. I am to be operating the comms console during the raiding mission. What will you be up to? Don’t tell me you will be joining the boarding party?”

Dacascos, COO

Paddy shuffled awkwardly, “As much as my sense of better judgement is telling me to avoid joining Commander Calloway for anything at the moment, people need a counselor, so I guess I have to.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

The man’s shuffle and comment about Commander Calloway intrigued her. An inquisitive gaze and smirked formed on her face. Obviously there were some not so ideal encounter(s) that happened between them. So she pressed for more information. “Tell me about your experience with Miss Shara Calloway? What’s it like working with her? You seemed uncomfortable when you mentioned her. What happened between you two? Did she punch you in the throat or something?” She joked.

Dacascos, COO

Paddy smirked, “Now now, Lieutenant, Doctor-Patient Confidentiality is a vow I simply cannot break.”

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-

-BUMP-

-Kieron-

She knew it was a longshot asking. “Fine.” She said bitterly, “I better get ready to report to the bridge. You still owe me an evaluation. I stopped by your office when I first came aboard and you were no where to be found. Never responded to my message either.”
She went to the closet to grab a new uniform. “Thank you for the hangover remedy, I do feel much better and as I am a big girl and don’t need help changing, I am going to insist we part ways for now. However, I will be stopping by your office soon to chat.”

Dacascos, COO

“I look forward to it,” Paddy said with a grin, then almost before he could stop himself, “Maybe we could share a couple of stronger versions of these,” he wiggled the glass in his hand.

-Lieutenant Patrick McMillan: Counselor-
