Eulailia blinked excessivelyfor a moment, “Actually no, but I have something to prove so I have no choice but to subject myself to… whatever might happen to me.” She held a drink out to the woman, “Rhee…isn’t it? I wonder if I might have you help me? I need to toughen up.” She looked at her for a moment, “No doubt you are as tough as they come. The way you took that being down. I want to learn how to do that!”

Ree studied Laila, looked at the bartender to see if this was some sort of prank, and then looked back at Dacascos. “Why should I?” What’s it to me?”

She placed the drink on the bar, “You would be helping an otherwise defenseless human girl gain some courage and combat skills?” She showed all her teeth in a forced smile as she clasped her hands together in a pleading motion. She wasn’t ashamed either. Then she said, “You helped me before, why not help me again? But this time you will be teaching me. There is reward within that itself. If that is not a good enough reason, tell me what I can offer you so that you would seriously consider my request.”

Rhee planted her hands on her hips and studied Dacascos at length. “By the look of you I doubt you could pay me, and frankly my job is to keep the peace in this place. I have a feeling you won’t leave me alone till I agree, so I’m going to say yes under one condition…”
She leaned in and fixed her gaze. “You do as I say. Don’t question, just listen. Deal?”
