“Damnit, the shuttles were going to be my next idea,” Jon said. “What if we rigged up a couple of electromagnets to generate the containment field we’d need to start up the warp core?”

“Powering the electromagnetic fields needed to maintain anti-matter containment is possible, but beyond our current capacity to do so safely. I’m sorry to say this, sir, but powering up the warp core is too dangerous. We’d risk a warp core breach. Not to mention, we have no idea what the state of the ship is currently,” said one of the engineers.

“Hey! I need some help here! I think I found Lt. MacMoragh!” shouted a crew person.

The engineers rushed over, and removed the falling debris that had been caused by an EPS blow out. They found Lt. MacMoragh with minor cuts and bruises, and his toe was broken from a piece of debris that had landed on his foot. Fortunately, that was the only thing that was broken, rather his entire foot. It could be repaired easily, once a medic came down to fix it.

GM

OOC: Thank you GM.

IC: “Report....how bad is it? Don’t beat around the bush, just give to me straight.”

MacMoragh

“We have basically no power, no computer access as a result, and restoring either will be the work of weeks, if not months, and that’s if we can scavenge or jerry-rig the parts we need,” Jon said flatly.

Ens. Smythe
Eng

“Thank you for being honest. Can you get emergency power up?” asked the Chief.

MacMoragh

“We have limited emergency power, sir. Just one barely operating fusion generator, and some backup battery power. That’s it. Nothing sufficient to power the warp core. I don’t think anyone has really assessed the exterior situation of the ship yet, either,” said one of the engineers.

GM

“Kinda hard when we don’t even know what’s outside,” Jon remarked. “I think we’re on a planet, or at least some celestial body with an atmosphere, for the simple fact that all of our air isn’t flooding out of whatever holes are almost assuredly on the ventral hull from our crash landing. But beyond that…” He trailed off with a shrug.

“Well, the gravity has been feeling a little heavier than the standard 1G, so you might be right,” said one of the engineers.

GM

Alright then firs thing is first..hitting his com badge MacMoragh said, “Lt. MacMoragh to the bridge anyone there.” He waited for a minute or two before he gave up would there be a response?

OOC: Is there a response GM?

OOC: There is not. See previous posts where I highlight that communications was down. I would recommend going back at least 2-3 weeks and reading posts from me specifically.

IC:

“Communications is down. There seems to be local interference, and without power to sensors, it’s hard to tell what it is causing the interference. Tricorder readings are confusing about what the interference is, only that it is coming from outside the ship,” said another NE engineer, “Crewman Michaels went up to the Bridge to inform the Bridge of our current status. We might be able to overcome the interference if we had more power to the communications systems, but I’m only guessing. Hard to do much without power… or finding out what exactly is going on outside of the ship.”

GM

“Well then I guess somebody needs to go for a hull walk,” Jon said, before putting a finger to his nose. “Not it, I still need to see a medic before my leg falls off.”

Ens. Smythe
Eng

“I can do it” said the Chief Engineer “any other takers to go with me?” asked MacMoragh

MacMoragh

“I’m the least injured, sir,” said Ensign Munchkin, “I can go with you.”

GM

Jon took a seat on a dead console. Hopefully a medic would arrive soon, he was starting to feel a bit light-headed.
