OOC: Go right ahead and just time jump it appropriately.
((jumping in but pretend I was checking around the ship lol))

Amber came back into Sick bay and she absently tossed her over vest into her office. She had been cold earlier. But her running around had swiftly changed that. It was aimed for the desk, but slid to the floor taking a couple flims with it. She shook her head and ignored it coming in to see who was around and how the Coldwater was doing. “Report…” she spoke up with a touch of fatigue to those still about.

A nurse answered, “Dr. McGill left for Engineering, Dr. Coldwater is recovering, and sickbay patients are doing okay for now. We have one person on the Bridge, another in Engineering, and another set up in triage in the Cargo Bay, Doctor. You seem in good health… no injuries at all, were you asleep in your quarters during the crash, Doctor?”

She nodded. “It’s what I get for scheduling some down time. And don’t let the look fool you,” she laughed and rubbed her hip. “Not all bruises show. I checked on a few places on my way up. Supervisors are great at checking their particular bays, and Security is pretty good at checking the bays. It’s the gym, holodecks and gathering places no one thinks of. Thankfully, just minor bumps, bruises and scrapes. All treated with local kits and all personnel back to duty stations.”

“It’s a small ship, doctor. But given that everyone was injured, the search process has been slow.”

She went to the console checking Coldwater’s vitals and sighed. “Any word yet just what the hell happened?”

Being unaware at work was one thing. Waking up on the floor with half your room on top of you, was something else. And it was almost disconnective, the feeling of being lost even as you make your way around the ship checking on people.

“You have been out for a number of hours and we thought you were dead,” said the nurse, “Our comm badges aren’t working, interference of some sort. We crashed, as far as anyone can tell, on a planet with slightly heavier gravity than 1G. Main power is out, and we only apparently have minimum life support. Security is acting as runners between decks and we are relying messages by word of mouth for now. That’s all we know so far. Our equipment here in sickbay has backup battery power, but we have to reserve as much power until main power can come back online.”

A runner came barging in from security. “Captain is calling for a senior staff meeting. Engineering has a makeshift crankshaft lift platform for now to get between decks. The Captain had gone outside apparently.”

Amber frowned. “Wait… hours? I fell from my rack and got up to go help others. It’s only been an hour… two at the most.” She was confused. There’s no way she had been out of comms for longer than that.

She turned to the other and frowned. “Just how many ‘number of hours’ was I out of comms? Cause I can account for the two hours I recall since the crash.” Something wasn’t adding up. Her brow furrowed as she waited for an answer. Maybe a few hours and two hours were the same. Otherwise, she was possibly in more trouble than she thought.

“About 7 or 8, Doctor,” replied the NE nurse, “We’ve had enough time to at least heal all the patients on this deck and send people to other decks to setup triage.”

Into sickbay then walked a rather disheveled looking Bailey. She had a half sealed cut over her forehead and held a very obviously used medical kit in hand. The shoulder strap seemed to have burst.

”im sorry it took me so long to get back here.” she said apologetically. ”I was helping with those injured in the lower decks.”

“Oh no! We should get you checked out, Lt. Bailey!” said the NE nurse, “You don’t look like any condition to help anyone else right now.”

Seven or eight hours… The words hit Amber like a brick. She had been awake… maybe two, possibly three. That means she hadn’t just had her head spin when she hit the floor. She had been knocked clean out.

“I mean… I..” She had been about to say something but then Bailey came in. She quickly moved to the nurse’s side and took the kit to set it on a nearby bed. “I got ya, Bailey. Sit down. Does anyone else need help? Did you leave anyone that needs to be here?” She was gently brushing back the bloodied hair to be sure the cut had been sealed properly and cleaned as well.

Bailey shook her head as she allowed herself to be guided into a chair. “No, I think we’ve managed to triage everyone hurt. The XO treated those on the bridge before I got there.” She explained and winced slightly as Amber pushed her hair back from her head.

“NE get her cleaned up and both of you make sure you eat. I need to get to the Captain.” She nodded to the officer, “Hang on, I’m coming.” She made sure the nurse had Bailey in hand and ran into her office to grab up her own med kit. It had a few extra things in it but she also wasn’t sure how much restocking was needed for the one just brought in.

She looked to the two and frowned. “Will you be ok?” She hated to leave them, despite the call from the Captain. But she hoped they could handle it.

By the time she was back Bailey looked slightly better as she sat and sipped from a water ration Bottle. Her head wound was now properly sealed again. “Yes sir, we can handle things.”
