Natalie listened to the various reports “Engineering, what does the damage look like outside?” She asked “I know that our comms array is damaged, what other damage do we have?” She asked leaning back in her chair and contemplating what they were facing.

“Captain, ,we are still assessing the damage…that said, it’s bad. Getting communications back up maybe impossible…however we are still working on the problem.”

She looked at Kaida “A raft? For what?” She asked had she missed a body of water near them…it was possible because she had been focused on assessing the damage and then the village. She looked around “Lane and two others are doing a quick recon of a village that was spotted across a body of water....” She looked at Kaida “Never mind my question....I just answered it myself.” Natalie sighed “Okay, once they get back, we will need to make an official party to the village and see if they can help us with resources and information.” She said “Idari? What are your thoughts on our current sitaution?”

Amber took the offered water and smiled in with a murmured ‘thanks’. Things were more dire than she thought. And it pained her, more than just physically, that she had been ‘out’ for so long and not even realized it. Nor had her staff, apparently.

Commander Idari considered the situation. <strike>With the power back on in a minimal fashion</strike> With power from batteries found by Engineering, Solit had managed to at least recharge his hand held device, and was pulling up what data he was able to glean from the crash. He noticed the notes that Lieutenant Cewa had left him, and silently thanked the Denobulan for his aid. He quickly considered what the Lieutenant was doing right now, and hoped that he and the others were getting ready to explore the surrounding area with the repaired tools.

“From the information we’ve been able to gather, the anomaly through which we traveled took us a relative 1.5 light years from our starting position at the start of our shakedown. I say relative because of the inherent unknown factor in how much space is actually being folded to connect the two ends of any given wormhole-like anomaly. The two most prominent examples are the wormhole that the Ferengi sabotaged when the Galaxy-class USS Enterprise was engaged in negotiations for access - the Ferengi that got trapped in it ended up in the Delta Quadrant, as we know from the USS Voyager’s mission logs - and the Home of the Prophets, which connects the Alpha Quadrant and the Delta Quadrant, for good and for ill. The was a chroniton effect in that anomaly as well, so it is entirely possible that, as well as traveling an unknown distance, we have traveled to a time period other than our one of origin. These two factors will affect how we head back to Federation space when we finally manage to leave this planet - if there even is a Federation in this time period.”

Solit paused to take a breath and a drink of water. He had managed to grab some rations from the gigantic pile outside of Cargo Bay C, but the beverage options were somewhat unpleasant to his palate, and he needed to wash out the taste.

“Hand scanners revealed that the island upon which we have landed is based upon a gigantic ore deposit which forms a field which interferes with practically all subspace-based technology. We could probably brute force our way around the problem once we get the warp core active again, but until then, most of our scanners and communications are useless because of this ore. Bearing that in mind, I’m planning a little geologic survey. Engineering is currently repairing the equipment with the aid of Lieutenant Veyn Cewa, and then we’re going digging with a field analysis rig in tow. We may need use of some wagons, if that’s even possible in our current status.”

(Commander Idari, CSO)

Zen listened quietly to the science officer’s report. He nodded and looked at Natalie. ”id like to take some basic provisions and tradeable items and go see what else is going on beyond the crash site.”

Kaida
XO

Thoon had been listening, gleaning as much information as he could. He had been checking his medkit and double checking the charge on his phaser pistol while Commander Idari had been speaking. “Excuse me, Commander Kaida, have any of our shuttle complement survived? If so, maybe some tests can be run using the active warp engine of the smaller vessel? If we can get one working we could even try to get out of atmosphere and scan the position of the stars, try to find out exactly where we are.”

-Lt. Thoon Furood CoS

OOC: Edited the CSO’s post to reflect power is not really back online. It’s only functional to power emergency life support, and not much anything else. Also merged in CE’s post. FYI, there are no shuttle craft on the ship. What’s the fun in making it easy? evil grin

GM

Ooc: Lol Jason!

IC: Zen looked irritated. “Apparently we Have somehow lost our shuttles.” He said in response to Furood. “I am not sure if this was because we weren’t fitted with them as we left for the shake down or if they have vanished somehow. Without computer systems we won’t be able to tell exactly.”

Amber listened to the reports and sighed. With power offline, whatever power the tricorders held was all they had left. She made a not to tell medical to go old school on as much as possible. If breaks weren’t imminent or obvious, then merely using hands on would be necessary. “Sir, what do you need from medical specifically? I think we have most of the major injuries seen to. At least, the ones who we have come across or come to me. I am going to have a two man team sweep when I get back and see if anyone is trapped or in need.”

Amber
CMO

Thoon furrowed his brow at the XO’s revelation about the shuttles. Hearing Amber’s plan for sweeping the ship, he took note. As a combat lifesaver he might be useful in that effort. He was starting to get a bit antsy. He was seeing all sorts of duties that he could help in, and he wanted to help everywhere he could. He repressed the urge to say anything about it and instead stuck close to Kaida. He cracked his knuckles, one by one as a nervous habit. It had the benefit of looking more like a display of confidence.
