Whet ever had jammed the comes was still plying havoc with Bog’s attempt the remote access’s the com array, so he was suiting up himself, “ Hell’s have it, I new I was going to have to do this, why didn’t you just suit up from the get go, you old fool.” He struggled a few moment getting the compression body glove over his rotund figure.

Once that was done and he mounted the EVA frame he retrieved an extra tricorder and secured it in his pouch.

With once more check to assure he was kitted our properly, “Don’t forget the crank, if the hatch won’t open to your command codes, you have to perform a manual override and hand crank the door.I assume you two remember how to do that?” The distinct clunk-click of his mag boots engaging and disengaging clear in the small compartment.

Bog

Casela gave him a scathing look. “Of course I do, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t know how to do that. Lefty tighty, righty loosey, right?” Casela had such a bad sense of humor. Uj’aw, used to her humor from training laughed until his wife, Niven gave him a look to shut him up. “Jokes are illogical at this time, Lt.” Niven interjected.

Casela shook her head, “As you say, Niven, as you say.”

GLaDOS nodded slightly. “As mentioned in Sickbay, I defer to your judgement. I won’t have this team paralyzed for choices just because they are waiting for my approval. My job here is to keep you awake, not to command you. Please, take charge of your team, Lieutenant.”

GLaDOS, not trying to be in charge like everyone seems to think she is

Casela nodded in acknowledgement. She wouldn’t ask again. This was her area of expertise, as it were. She stepped over to GLaDOS, “Alright Cmdr. Whatever you’ve got to give me. I’m not planning on going inside that ship, but let’s make sure if we end up in there we aren’t going to fall asleep. Everyone else too,” she looked at the RTF team and Bog.

She looked at Derrick. “Mr. Trainer. If you would suit up as well, I’d like you to take aim at anything that might try to come through the hatch. Hopefully there is nothing, but no need to be careless.” Casela waited, and once everyone was suited up she engaged the force field, leaving GLaDOS, Lehiw, and Niven on the safe side of the shuttle. Casela walked over to the hatch, “Mag boots on, EVA’s locked and on?” Getting a positive from everyone, she checked to make sure Fenrir had engaged his own mag-locks. Seeing that he had, she opened the hatch to the shuttle. Casela kept her eyes on the hull of the Einstein. She didn’t want to throw up in the EVA suit again. She stepped out and headed towards the access hatch, Uj’aw, Derrick, and Fenrir following. “Mr. Bog,” she said through the comm link of the suits, “As soon as we get Fenrir inside, I’ll come help you.”

Derrick simply nodded and checked his weapons. No other response was needed.

They reached the hatch and Casela knelt down and opened the access panel for the controls to the hatch. Setting the force field could notify whoever was inside of what they were doing. Not engaging it could harm anyone that was near by and would register as a containment breach. Either way someone was going to know. Unless she could trick the computer. Casela accessed the panel and instead of turning the force field on in one go, she slowly turned it on hoping the slow rise to full power would be less likely to be noticed. Once the force field was in place she put in the command code to unlock the hatch and nodded to Derrick and Uj’aw. Uj’aw nodded and began to lift the hatch.

Bog made his way to the array, using his tricorder to check for any unpleasant surprises. Once certain their were no traps, he began removing the armored cover so he could access the communication array’s network hub. Cation being important, as Bog would have ‘booby trapped’ this access. Tho it’s not Star Fleet policy.

Once the hub was accessed, Bog plugged the second tricorder he carried for this mission into the the system. Leaning back he checks to see that he has access to the ship’s primary network.

Quickly closing the cover, the Tellarite made his way back to the shuttle to begin infaltrating the network and main frame.

Uj’aw lifted the cover and with nothing having jumped out at them, Fenrir moved inside Einstein. Uj’aw closed the panel and Casela set the lock and then disengaged the force field. “Let’s get back to the shuttle.” She moved back with Trainor and Uj’aw. Once back inside she closed the rear access door to the shuttle and turned off the forcefield. She took off the helmet and gloves, but left the rest of the suit on just in case. “Alright Mr. Bog, let’s see what you can do.” Casela moved over to a computer screen and pulled up a link with Fenrir. It was grainy and weak, but she could see what he was seeing as he moved around the ship. She turned to GLaDOS, “Did the doc give you anything for vertigo? I could use it right about now. Always get it when I space walk.”
Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

Using the installed tricorder to directly link the ships network to his tricorder and a pad, Bog uploaded the command codes needed to access the Einstien. First accessing lo priority, thus low security systems to gain a solid beachhead he activated the dry dock maintenance protocols and began switching command from the CO and XO to Starfleet maintenance command. Once recognized as the authorized administrator he inserted a string of code to prevent the system from reinitializing without his or Captain Cobb’s codes. The signal was glitchy, with fandom images and haunted sounds but the data stream was secure. Activating the ships internal com relays he attempted the raise the drone. =^= Bog to Ferris, Com check. Over=^=.

The maintenance command codes allowed Bog into the ships maintenance systems and engineering. He could even lower shields at this point, but navigation, security protocols, and weapons would need command access codes. The phantom images and hunted sounds became clearer and more pronounced on the screen. The same insubstantial face flickered over and over across the feeds.

=^=I am here Bog. I am searching for life signs. I detect 9 and there should be 10. I am attempting to locate them. I will begin at the bridge where they were last known to be.=^= Fenrir’s still slightly computerized voice came over the comm.

With the system now open to him The Tellarite installed a series of viruses to secure control of the major ships systems. He would have limited control from the tricorder but it would suffice for his needs.

Bog

“Can we patch our feed back to Leviathan now, Mr. Bog? I’m sure the Cpt and Cmdr would like another update, if there is one to be had.” From the pilots seat Lehiw informed the away team, “Two Ferengi ships have just dropped out of warp and are hailing the Leviathan.” Casela raised her brows. “We’re sitting ducks here if Sandman decides to take control of the shields are weapons again. Mr. Bog we need full control of that ship.”

Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

‘’I have engineering control, but the archived cam and codes have been changed. I am attempting to access the root directory and install you and I as the administrators.” Stubby fingers flying over the interface as he wrestle with what seemed to be a coherent and oily feeling opponent. “ the entity has some presence in the system, but it’s more organic feeling so not insurmountable. Honestly lieutenant, I am reticent to link the shuttle to the Einstein’s systems just yet, as I am transporting the away team back to the ship.”

“Then let’s not do that. And let’s make sure it’s safe to move the away team before we beam them out. This isn’t a probe but there are records of trying to break a telepathic link of a probe caused serious injury or death. So let’s make sure we don’t do that by moving them too soon. We don’t know how much of a hold Sandman has on them.”

‘’I would really like Fido to get the frequency from the containment module as I am into coms and can use the internal PA.’’

Bog

Casela had a separate direct link to Fenrir and used it. That connection was clearer, but still had static, but none of the ghostly images and sounds. =^=Fenrir we need you to find the containment module for the original prison and gets us the frequency for it. I also need you to find a deceased member of the original Einstein crew.=^= After several minutes Fenrir responded. =^= I have found the away team. They are all sleeping, collapsed on the main bridge. Efforts to rouse them have failed.=^=

“GLaDOS, where would be the most likely place for Fenrir to look for the original prison container?”
Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

Bog, might not have control of weapons or navigation, but sure knew how to deny his opponent access and he slipped into the holo deck and EMH emitters. He was having some issues with the EMH but it looked like it was simply shut off. If he could bring it on line he would have hands on board. Fido and the EMH could do a lot together.

Bog

Something was wrong with the EMH programming, pieces of it kept glitching out making it impossible to actually appear. A crew member could consult the EMH through a computer console, but not actually have it appear. Something was playing with the program, but didn’t really know what it was doing. More like a spoiled child hitting buttons at random.

Lehiw spoke up, “The second Ferengi ship has taken a fall back position, protected by the first ship and it has turned locking weapons on the Einstein, and us.”
Casela nodded, “Trainor take the tactical station please. We don’t have much, but let’s use what we have.”

OOC: From the shuttle spec it says “Given the general wartime conditions during development, it would have been foolish not to give the Armadillo some tactical systems. It is important to note that, although present, weaponry on the Armadillo does little more than comfort the crew against anything larger than another shuttle.
The Armadillo was given Shield Generators providing a Maximum Gravitational Load of 27 MW, with a Maximum Energy Dissipation rate of 790 kW.
Offensive systems consist of two Type-IV phaser as standard, upgradeable to Type-V if needed.”

Lt. Synthi-er, RTF
OOC: Pasting GLaDOS back in

“I would think the most likely location would either be in the sciences area, or perhaps security?” GLaDOS suggested with a small glance to her interface.

She looked at the medical supplies, not recognizing anything useful for dealing with Vertigo. “I cannot see anything in particular, Lt. Keep me informed if you begin to feel drowsy.”

GLaDOS, CSO

Casela nodded, of course they wouldn’t have anything. She took several deep breaths and pushed through the dizziness and turned back to the console. She picked up her communicator for Fenrir. =^=Look for the artifact prison either in the science labs or security. =^=

After dealing with the bridge Fenrir would stop first at security, because it was closer, and find nothing, he would then find the remains of the artifact in the ARU science labs. The box itself looked to be contained, but pieces had been broken off of it and disassembled. Fenrir took detailed scans of the equipment and sent them back. “GLaDOS, Bog, here’s what he found. It looks like the team destroyed whatever mechanism was emitting the noise.” She sent the information to GLaDOS’s console. “I am unsure if I should have him attempt to download the files from the Einstein. Sandman is possibly in the Einstein computer. We don’t want him getting control of the KAI9. But we can try it. Is there any other scans you need him to take of it? Should he try to bring it to us or leave it for the RTF team on board?” Casela asked GLaDOS.
OOC: So have fun with the readings, I know they aren’t specific, but since this is GLaDOS area of expertise I thought you might enjoy coming up with how the prison worked.

“If he can handle it to carry, Fenrir might as well bring what’s left of the containment device. We might be able to salvage it.”

Bog chuckled as he gained a feel for his opponent, wile attempting the weak firewalls on the replicators to gain access to the central core he activated the holo suits as well as the holo decks to provide a distraction.

The spreading grin on the Tellarites face was positively feral as he imagined their surprise when they were hit buy a spread of quantum torpedoes…

Bog

The interference stopped suddenly when the holosuits and decks came to life and then a sound of rage came through the feeds. The visual feed from Fenrir showed that the screens and interfaces around him began to show the horrific face of what must be Sandman. The sound of running, crashing, shouting, and then suddenly the klaxons were going off. However the scene, other than the noise, was very calm. “I think you made him mad, Bog.”
Lt. Synthi-er, RTF
KAI9 Fenrir, AARM
Sandman

Bog grinned, as he initiated characters from a twentieth century comedy to the Holo emmiters used buy the EMH, for men appeared wearing tan coveralls odd looking goggles and backpack pored energy rifles. The odd unit patch consisted of a circle with a slash covering a green cartoon ghost…
“ That should keep him distracted, counselor.” His eyes gleaming as the theam music was piped threw the PA…

Bog.

Casela laughed, and then the screaming came over the comm again. “Yes, he’s not too happy is he. Can you get GLaDOS connected with the sensors? Kastil needs in depth brain scans of the away team. Fido…Fenrir doesn’t have the necessary equipment and without hands he can’t exactly use a tricorder.” She rolled her eyes, now she was calling Fenrir, Fido. She shook her head. “Derrick, what are those Ferengi vessels doing? Will the Einstein’s shields protect us?”

Stubby fingers flying and a look of manic glee on his wrinkled face the Tellarite slipped from the replicators to the main computers. “ I appears our friend attacked anything that spoke, he isn’t sophisticated, as it looks like he took the proverbial hammer to the software. Give me a minuet and I should be able to access the internal scanners.”

Uj’aw, the teams anomaly containment handler, walked over to GLaDOS and looked at the scans of the broken containment field. “It looks like a tritanium construction with a sonic pulse generator. But the I can’t tell the rest from the way they broke it.”

She turned back to Bog, “Any luck getting control of the ship?”
Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

GLaDOS looked over the data, scanning through the words and diagrams from Fenrir’s scans. “Our best bet would be to determine what frequencies the pulse generator outputted,” she said with a small frown of concentration. “I think I can get the shuttle’s replicator to reproduce the tritanium structure. Try to figure out if you can find any other details while I work on the structure.”

Picking up the communicator, “Fenrir, if you can get the container and all the broken parts and return to the hatch we will take detailed scans to make a new one. If you can’t though, don’t break it.” She looked at the scans again, “Wait, Fenrir, only bring the broken part. If the container is still intact we just need to replace the other part.” She looked at GLaDOS. “That way if the team wakes up before a new one can be made, they at least have something. I can send him back with it later if need be.” Was she being too cautious?

“ Let’s see what you can do with this, lovely Miss GLaDOS.” Bog still concerned about the ship’s systems opens a link from his secondary tricorder to the science officers.

“If it’s not safe to link directly yet Bog don’t do it. We don’t need Sandman on our shuttle. The doctor may need those scans, but we don’t need to risk ourselves, yet.” If need be she could always go in and get it herself. That was a last resort though. They didn’t need to send in any more officers until they knew what they were doing.

”Uj’ah, I am thinking if I hijack the PA and klaxon I can start piping a sub or untra sonic tone threw the ship that may disrupt our friend” ten herts at one hundred and twenty five decibels would be a good start..

Bog

“Bog? Is that safe for the away team? Wouldn’t that hurt them as well? They have no way of protecting themselves. Could we,” She was thinking, “do it everywhere but the bridge? Could you retro fit Fenrir with something that would be localized so if Sandman went to the bridge it could be aimed just at him?” Yeah, okay Casela as being WAY too cautious. This wasn’t her. This was why she shouldn’t be part of team. She worried too much.

Wile Bog and the others had been playing with the entity, Derrick had been watching not only the Ferringi but the shuttles external feeds. “ com traffic and the Leviathan and their lead ship have dropped shields.” A fed moments later, “verified transport to the Leviathan and both ship’s have raised shields”

Derrick, RTF

GLaDOS slipped over to the replicator and set it to the appropriate settings, getting it to produce the tritanium structure. It wasn’t going to be a quick print.

GLaDOS, CSO

Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

“I asked Fido before we left, he said he had the capability, and as I understand it one hundred and thirty decibels plus can liquefy your organs.” Bog’s dry chuckle was decidedly sadistic, “But I would cause nausea and their bones will ache”

“Yes but we need to make sure that it doesn’t kill them in conjunction with whatever Sandman is doing to them.” She looked at GLaDOS. “You have more experience with anomalies than anyone else on this shuttle. What is your professional opinion?”

The Tellarite was enjoying finding new ways to irritate his new ‘friend’ with a half formed plan to herd or lure Sandman into one of the holo decks.

“Could Fido either bring a medical tri-corder to the bridge, or a victim to medical? In fact let me see about a site to site medical transport.”

Bog

“Could he carry it? Yes, but could he operate it? No. He doesn’t have any attachments for fine dexterity like that. Another piece of equipment that didn’t make in onboard before they shipped us out,” Casela responded.

“Speaking of the first team, what is their location and status?” GLaDOS inquired, not sure if Synthi-er knew.

GLaDOS, CSO

“They are all on the bridge, asleep, except for Blair. Right before we lost contact sensors showed he was dead. And the reading from Fenrir confirm that. There were 10 members and now 9,” Casela informed her.
Lt. Synthi-er, RTF

GLaDOS nodded slightly to herself. “How are we on the distractions, Bog?”

GLaDOS, CSO
