Jonathan turned to the young ensign; “Thank you ma’am, I appreciate your time.” After all, it paid to be polite; it tended to encourage others to step in front of danger for you.

He entered the Sickbay; the ensign already forgotten. Stepping clear of the door and the marked pathways in the bay, he stood stock still, his head slowly panning around. Having taken measure of his surroundings, he advanced on the Chief Medical Officer’s door; a Lt. Fey Kastil, according to the nameplate. Disregarding the chime, he knocked twice; the metal-on-metal contact ringing out clearly.

The door slides open and reveals a tall, disproportionate woman in a lab coat. Her arms, leg, and fingers are far too long for her body, and the angular features of her face give her an other than human look regardless of being actually human. The woman’s red-orange eyes look over the Crewman, then back to a PaDD, “Did you bring your medical records Crewman Durheim? They were not sent over and when I requested them from your previous command they failed to follow through. If you don’t have any we can of course rebuild them until the original come in, but it will make this appointment take far longer as I will have to establish the full array of medical needs. Also, have you checked in with your Chief Engineer or did you plan to do that visit after your medical check-in?”

The immediate launch into business delighted Durheim - no meaningless pleasantries taking up valuable time. “Yes Ma’m; I have my records here, one moment.” Digging briefly through the large toolbag he carried at his side; he retrieved a data crystal and passed it over.

“Can’t say why they didn’t forward them; though there isn’t much there - I’ve only been in StarFleet’s care for the past year or so. I have taken the time to add full details regarding my cybernetics to that file; and I’d be happy to answer any questions of course.”

“I’ve not yet checked in with the Chief; I wasn’t sure if there would be a priority on medical check-in.”

(OOC: In Jonathan’s character profile, I have a couple of sections in particular that are relevant - a ‘Medical Records’ section with a brief overview of Jonathan, and further down, a section detailing his cybernetic implants.)

The Doctor accepted the crystal and loaded it into her console to transfer the data over, then handed it back to Durheim. “Excellent, let’s do a quick scan. I only asked if you had seen Lieutenant Hampton in the event that you didn’t have your records. Making new ones takes some time.” The Doctor led the crewman to one of the standing scanning units. “This will make things quick for you. You will be assigned to Doctor Feira, she is our Denobulan Cybernetics Specialist so you will need to coordinate appointments with her. She also specifically attends to GLaDOS, our former Borg CSO.”

“Of course, Doctor.” Jonathan obediently stepped into the scanning unit, mindful of the small enclosure. “Any particular way I need to be positioned?”

His eyebrows rose involuntarily at the mention of ‘former Borg’ - an uncommon phrase, to say the least. How interesting.... there seems to be quite a few people that I’d truly like to meet! What a fascinating roster; more and more I think I see why I was assigned here.

The Doctor hit a couple of buttons to begin the scanning sequence, “Not at all, just don’t try to do the hokey pokey and the scan should be fairly quick. Your mechanical components will be sent to Doctor Feira, I will receive your physical and cerebral scans, and you will be given a waiver to sign which gives me permission to use you for experimental medicine.” The doctor watches the readout as the scanning bar moves up and down slowly. “You know, you have a lot of serious burns on you, we can use dermal regeneration from healthy skin cells to repair and correct the damage. Might prevent long term issues, though it’s not going to regrow the arms. I have some experimental things for that, but I can guarantee they’ll grow out of the correct location, or be human for that matter.”
