Kouign Amann/pastry (open to anyone)

Duties, training schedule, still left Quinn time on her hands. She had to burn energy one way or another. Pranking the hell out of someone or cooking. She hadn’t found anyone who struck her as the type to enjoy a friendly prank war. So she was cooking to keep out of trouble for the most part. She knew sooner or later she would get on someone’s last nerve or they would be her the complete wrong way. Then things would get interesting. Today she was making Kouign Amann pastries, they ended up tasting like salted caramel croissants ( in her opinion) but they were really good. She made roughly four dozen of the crown shaped pastries and then started making a list of what else to bake, the draw back to the Kouign Amann it took 15 minutes for them to cool from baking. It you attempted to eat one before that cool down time you were going to end up burnt by the sugar coating, and any melted butter that hadn’t been absorbed during the cooking/cooling. She had also learned that if you didn’t remove the piping hot pastries from the baking pans upon removal from the oven. They wouldn’t be removed after the cooled. So the four dozen pastries sat on cooling racks across the table the timer ticking down to time enjoy. Quinn distracted herself with her notes and glancing up as folks moved around the room.
