Casela had moved her schedule for this. She’d put Niven in charge of this week’s trainings. Field medicine and first response. Niven was a medic, but more skilled than most and was able to recertify the team in first aid. So the team would be doing that, while Casela had something else planned. Quinn Kindle. She was spunky, hard working, and she had secrets. What exactly those were, Casela hadn’t pried into too much. They were personal and Quinn carried none of the weight of a secret that could hurt the crew. So Casela hadn’t pursued. But it being her nature, she was curious. But Quinn was small and despite her dedication to doing her best, she needed some extra tricks to her bag to make her an effective fighter. But Casela, after watching the Yeoman handle and deal with Cobb on a daily basis, knew her mind was quick enough to make her one of the more formidable members of the Black Devils.

Casela sent a message to Quinn requesting her to show at the training holodeck a little earlier than normal. Casela set the program, and entered. She looked around, the scene making her homesick. What looked like a barn stood at the back of a property. What would be mistaken for a horse corral was actually an outdoor sparing ring. Casela ignored the scenery and entered the barn. It had a dirt floor but was clean and rustic. Weapons, sparing and training equipment scattered the area. Casela walked around the area, lost in thought and memory for a few minutes. And then she turned and began to stretch, waiting for Quinn Kindle to arrive.

Quinn walked down the corridor her duffle with some of her weapons (scaled for her height and grip), within it. She wasn’t sure what Casela had in mind, but she figured bringing a selection of her own equipment wouldn’t be out of line. Her hair was in a tight braid and tucked into a bun on the back of her neck. She carried a small basket in her other hand, inside there were some muffins, two thermos, one of coffee and one hot chocolate.

When she walked through the archway the sight of the barn had her freeze for a few seconds, as it took her to look past the general shape and reminder of debacle of the family reunion at the camp grounds they had rented. It was a barn yes but it wasn’t the same style as the one she had played in all those years ago. Quinn very much doubted there would be any spiders in this place. She muttered under her breath and moved forward, her steps as silent as she could make them.

Quinn walked into the barn and was more relieved that there wasn’t any hay in evidence. Even the holographic stuff made her sneeze but not as badly. She offered up a cheeky grin as Casela looked at her. “Morning! I brought snacks for after we are done.” She said as she held up the basket she set down her duffle carefully and looked around the interior was like a dojo, that was definitely more comforting.
