Quinn muttered a few words under her breath as the helm officer was beamed to Sickbay, whatever Hamilton w had been he obviously wasn’t the same now. She shook her head slightly as she brought over the remaining croissants, then she walked to the Ready room and brought Cobb one of his choice bottles of liquor. The thermos of hot chocolate still thumping against her left thigh as she walked. “Here you go Sir, I appreciate the offer but I will hold that for after we settle the account for Hamilton’s actions.” She didn’t like to drink unless she was absolutely certain there wasn’t going to be a need to turn feline. Horking up hairballs covered in liquor was very unpleasant. Quinn preferred not making the same mistake twice if she could avoid it.

She poured a cup of the hot chocolate for herself and saluted the Captain with a sad grin.

  • Quinn Kindle, Yeoman/RTF

Cobb accepted the drink with gratitude and lapsed into a strained silence as he studied the details being uploaded from the other Leviathan. So many questions, like withered hands reaching out to drag him into the darkness. But so far, not a single answer to penetrate the gloom.
“Well, Mr Raauhl,” the captain whispered eventually, sitting back in his seat and running trembling hands across his face, “it looks like you might get your away team after all. We need every scrap of information we can find on whatever is coming for the Leviathan. Our Leviathan. Assemble your team.”

Then with a shake of the head, he tapped wearily at his commbadge. =^=Crewman Polizzi, any luck with the artifacts yet?=^=

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

. =^= bolt of energy breached containment and struck Hampton. He faded a way wile cursing me.=^= The voice was the same one that had spoke to the Captain about seeing ghosts., not at all the usual brash irritated one.

As Quinn passed by the command table again Casela reached out and grabbed her wrist. Casela was taking in all the telepathic information she was getting from Hampton, and it was like a computer on over load. His voice/presence over shadowed everything and she swayed on her feet momentarily finding equalibrium in the deluge. She confirmed again he that vague certainty he was connected to the orb, but not how it worked. Casela’s voice was distant, not trance like, but focused elsewhere. “This is no trick Cmdr. He’s part of the orb now, or connected to it somehow. He doesn’t understand it. He is everywhere on this ship, but no where at the same time. And I’m pretty sure he can know what we are thinking if he so chooses. But I can’t get a sense of this orb thing seperately from him, so it’s an educated guess.

‘You are a full if you think your abilities will be able to help you.’ Hampton’s voice rang out in her head. Wherever he got the telepathic power from, it was powerful and terrifying. “Quinn…the crew they need to know if he shows up. Don’t provoke him. Don’t anger him, don’t ignore him, don’t…” She looked at Quinn and then Cobb and Raauhl. “Actually I don’t think it will matter. But the crew should be on guard.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

“Aye, I agree,” Cobb nodded. “Perhaps it might be best if we restrict all non-essential personnel to quarters while Hamp…while that thing is still active on the ship.” He thought immediately of the helmsman and how the monster that resembled his former CE had removed the young Ensign’s head with the mere blink of an eye. “Or perhaps we should assemble them all in the lounge and communal areas. Safety in numbers, perhaps?”
The truth was, that William Hampton was now as powerful as a Q. Together, alone, armed, unarmed, none of it mattered. They were sitting ducks, the lot of them. Zachariah Cobb included.

Surda stepped onto the bridge, phaser already in her hands. “What in the Nine-Hells is going on here?” She had left the anomaly as soon as she was summoned, but considering how shaken everyone seemed, she could tell she had missed something.
-Surda, CoS

“It would seem we have become target of yet another entities games, though this one seems far more direct. Its just aswell you’ve arrived I’m assembling an away team and given that I feel we willl need most of our operatives on this ship Id like you to join me, I’d also like to take an engineer and a medical officer perhaps crewman Durheim from engineering, I’ve seen promising things in his reports and anyone Doctor Kastil can spare incase we come across any Injured.” Ryder looked from the Chief Security Officer to Cobb,” Any objections?” He asked.

  • LtCmdr Raauhl, XO

“None from me, Commander. That sounds like an excellent team,” the captain verbally signed off on Raauhl’s selections. “You have fifteen minutes for briefing and prep and then I want you all assembled on the transporter, ready to beam over. Understand?”
Time was a luxury denied to them all. Cobb hated sending officers over to the other ship cold, but with the clock ticking until this threatened attack, there was no other option available.

Quinn stood still looking from Casela to Cobb and as Raauhl spoke to the Surda. She turned her attention back to Casela, she placed her hand gently over Casela’s were she gripped her wrist.

  • Quinn Kindle, Yeoman/RTF

OOC: Sam did we ever identify the single life sign on the other Levi? Or was that Hampton?
IC: Casela nodded at Quinn and released her wrist. Quinn, I really doubt we are going to find anyone alive over there. She stepped back over to her chair and down at the consoles there. Still waiting to see if any other life signs registered and on the identity of the one, whether the computer could identify the specific person or simply give her information on species, gender, weight, height, or even if it was some type of energy pattern. Whatever the sensor could tell her. She walked towards the back where Cobb and Raauhl were standing. Dropping her voice to a semblance of privacy “Whomever you choose to take, Cmdr I suggest you tell them before hand what they are going to see. No one should come across their own corpse unawares.” She turned to Cobb, “Perhaps we should contact Lt. Remington? Someone should investigate Hampton, and search anywhere he’s been. His quarters, engineering, his office, and I’ve heard tell he sends a lot of late nights in an R and D lab he’s designated for himself.” Casela took a deep breath and put the guilt aside. She’d failed to recognize the danger in William Hampton. He was a brilliant engineer and weapons were his specialty. He was obsessed with conspiracies’, though he wasn’t wrong there, and angry, filled with hatred. But she would never had pegged him for a mass murderer. She was either very off in her assessment of him, or the orb did something to change him, make him angrier, turn him into something he truly wasn’t. Either way, it didn’t matter. They either had to stop him or save him.

“Cmdr, will you want the AARM?”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

“Aye, get Remington on the case,” Zachariah consented. “Have him interview the engineering crew as well, see what they can tell him about Hampton’s recent behaviour. I also need to know everything possible there is to know about that orb. Tell Commander GLaDOS I’ll send some crewmen to assist Polizzi on the cargo bay and I want all remaining scientists investigating the anomaly.”

“Our own corpse?” She looked between Raauhl and Casela. “Gurjom save me from my own bad judgment,” she muttered in Orion. She switched back quickly. “Alright, sounds like an interesting experience. When do we leave?”
-Surda, CoS

“I am afraid so, Lieutenant,” Cobb reached out and placed a hand on the Orion’s shoulder, as if to silently ask if she were okay with this torturous lot they had all been handed. “And as I said, I want you all prepped and ready to beam out in fifteen minutes. Away team dismissed.”

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

Surda looked up and met the captain’s eyes, then shrugged. She made her bed, and now she had to lie in it. “Yes, sir.” She looked at Rahuul. “Well? Apparently, there are dead bodies waiting for us.”
-Surda, CoS

“Seems so, ill meet you in the transporter room in ten minutes well do the brief there” He tapped his comm badge, took in a breath and said “Crewman Durheim Please report to transporter room one, you’ve been assigned away team duty, can the on-duty medical personnel also prepare for departure. Ten minutes in the Transporter room, the briefing will be carried out there.” He turned back to Cob, “We’ll have open communications at all times sir.” He nodded once before leaving.

  • Lt Cmdr Raauhl, XO

OOC: Just fixing the split…

IC: Zachariah nodded at his new CoS, then turned his attention to the other officers preparing to depart.
“I want you to stay in constant contact now,” he cautioned them. “Although I’m going to request audio feeds only. The visuals I can study later but I want to minimise the chance of other members of this crew catching a glimpse of…well…”
He shrugged. “Ensign Nauls will be at the transporter controls and can bring you back at the first hint of trouble. There is no call for anyone to go playing a hero here, this is a reconnaissance mission only. Understand?”

He sighed deeply, the strain of the situation visible upon him for the first time. “Now go, all of you, before I change my mind.”
