OOC: The following people are requested for the away team:
- Raauhl
- Synthi-er
- Surda
- Durheim
- Med (Kastil or Knox, or an NE)

IC: At the transporter station, NE Nauls felt uneasy. By now the rumours had spread all over the ship - another Leviathan had appeared, containing copies of every single crewmember assigned to this ship. Except on the other Leviathan they were all dead. Well, all except one, that is. He wasn’t sure who to pity more, the away team who would be forced to confront the scenes of their own, grizzly murders head on, or himself and the others forced to remain on this ship while a deranged madman stalked the corridors and halls.

Damn, he wished they would just hurry up so he could get this over with and then lock the doors once again…

  • NE Nauls

Casela had made her way to her quarters, and had contemplated full RTF gear but RTF made Hampton angry and reminded him of his conspiracies he was so fond of so she opted instead for a combat uniform. Not that she thought any of it would make any difference. She threaded her Mark VII and matching tonfa into the loops at the small of her back, and then several more tools, some weapons, some not into the loops and pockets of her uniform. She took up her backpack and then headed down to the RTF deck to pick up one more weapon that she tossed into the bag.

A few short minutes later she walked into the transporter room and looked around. First again. She really needed to impress upon people the need to move quickly. They had less than 4 1/1 hours left. They needed to move. She took note of NE Nauls and walked over to him. “Keep your door open, it will make it easier for you to move, and you’ll be able to hear any noise down the corridor. Besides Cobb, Manhattan, and Raauhl have everything under control, and there are none better.” It was a saying of sorts she’d been helping to spread around the crew for awhile now. Having faith in the command crew gave them faith in themselves and helped to stop the panic. And Casela believed it whole heartedly. Mentioning all three together also made the crew cohesive, if the three different parts of command could work as a team, then the crew could do it as well. Psychological warfare. It wasn’t always about attacking sometimes it was about defense. Casela stepped away from Nauls with a nod and took a place on the transporter pad.

“Aye, Ma’am, I…I’ll be sure to do that,” Nauls stammered, terrified by her casual mention of activity in the outside corridor, but at the same time reassured by her steadfast belief in the abilities of Captain Cobb and the rest of the senior crew.

Surda stepped into the transporter room right behind Casela. Nodding to her, she stepped on the pad beside her, completely silent. “I think a response time training exercise might be a good idea. Full crew.” She was a strong believer in preparation after all.
-Surda, CoS

“Aye, and what shall the punishment be for being late? Shall we make the spar the both of us?” Casela wasn’t joking. They were on a very tight timeline. She expected Raauhl to be the last to arrive. The team lead usually should be. That person had several things to put into place before a team could leave. So the rest of the team should be ready to go once the lead appeared. Of course she realized that having very very rarely actually worked with a team she was impatient and that skewed her judgement in this case.

Durheim followed Surda, though there was a bit of a delay. The diminutive engineer was wearing a sleeveless pair of coveralls; mechanical limbs on display, along with various tools poking out of pockets. Over one shoulder was slung a toolbag, and his face wore a grin that paired nicely with the sturdy goggles strapped to his head. “Apologies for my tardiness; I had not expected to be called away from containment.” He stepped up onto the transporter pad, setting his bag between his feet.

“I understand we are to be exploring a… copy of the Leviathan? I was not given many details, but there are rumors spreading…” Truthfully, Durheim had heard a bit more than just that; but he wanted to avoid coloring any details that might be provided. The idea of a copy of the ship, complete with (dead) crew was very interesting to him, and he wondered if he’d stumble across his own corpse, and what shape it might be in. That thought had actually been what had delayed him; it’d taken a bit longer than he had expected to gather some of the specialized tools required to rip out his deeply integrated cybernetics without causing damaged to some of the delicate circuitry. After all, it wasn’t every day one had an opportunity to acquire backups!

Durheim the far-too-excited, Engineering

Nauls blinked at the engineer. He had not been expecting anyone to approach this mission with enthusiasm and Durheim’s excitable nature was making the transporter chief feel decidedly nervous.
Leaning forward in his seat, he mock-whispered in reply, “I have heard the rumours too. I heard that…”

Raauhl entered next, he hadn’t changed figuring if the other ship had an RTF contingent then their superior equipment didn’t work either, he was however put at ease too see Casela in Combat attire so at least one of them was capable of putting up a fight. “I will dispel any rumours once our Medical Liason arrived but yes there is a copy of the Leviathan.” He looked to Casela and the Security chief both of whom were already well informed of the away mission having come from the bridge themselves. “For now ready you kit and pack the shuttle, bring some mobile transporter beacons and forcefield generators.” He again looked to Casela “And anything else you think will help us.”

  • Lt Cmdr Raauhl, XO

It had not been Nauls’s intention to be caught by the First Officer in the act of gossiping on the crisis and the transporter operator was feeling thoroughly chastised. His head down, he kept his focus on the controls at his fingertips as he announced, meekly, “I have established a good lock on the…other ship. Conditions are green for transport over as soon as you’re all ready.”

  • NE Nauls

Casela shook her head, “Anything we need should, theoretically be there. No need to carry extra equipment and weigh ourselves down. I have a basic RTF containment kit in my bag.” She thought a moment. “Fenrir. He should have a copy over there, but if that is us I asked Hampton when we first boarded to make a way to neutralize him. He never gave it to me, but I have no doubt he made something. And if it was me, Fenrir would be one of the first things I took out if I wanted to go after the crew.” Casela pulled out a small comm device. =^=Fenrir, report to the transporter room.=^= A few quick minutes later the AARM appeared in the transporter room.
Lt. Synthi-er, KAI9 Handler

Once everyone was assembled Raauhl cleared his throat and stepped towards the transporter pad. “Right, to dispel future rumours and to be as transparent as possible we are about to head to an identical ship, or so far as we can tell an identical ship to the Leviathan we are currently tracking one lifeform which was heading to the bridge, we will be transporting in and setting up surveillance before departing to Medical, containment and engineering to see if we can find out what happened, what were dealing with and what state the ship is in. We are NOT to engage the entity and if anything appears to be a danger we are to extract immediately which our lovely transporter operator will do at the drop of a hat.”

He waited, not for dramatic effect but to allow the information to be digested. “We are also aware that it seems as well as the ship the crew is also identical but are all deceased. We have to remain objectified and anything we see on the ship is simply and currently unexplained. You may very well see your own deceased body or bodies of friends and maybe even family, the only solace I can give to you is those people you know and love are still alive and aboard this ship not that one, we will mourn for them when the danger is nullified. Any question?”

  • Lt Cmdr Raauhl, XO

Not wanting to give away information the Cmdr didn’t want known she approached him and spoke quietly. “The last life sign reading was William Hampton, Sir. As far as our sensors were concerned. I don’t know if they should know that’s who we are after or not.” Tensions were high and the transporter chief didn’t really need to know that, since everyone here on this Leviathan thought Hampton was dead.

After a few moments of deliberation, the away team stepped onto the transporter pads, and with a bright flash, beamed off Leviathan
