Bounty hunter. Casela could see it without hesitation. “And are any of these assets or their friends looking for you or would take it into their heads to try and get even if they saw you?” Casela, ever the one to prepare for every eventuality. Casela had come to think that she could trust Bog, and his time as a bounty hunter didn’t change that, but it did add to the amount of risk one had to prepare for. “These Pakleds wouldn’t by any chance be friends of one of those assets would they?”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

“At one time the Dusak clan had a bounty on m head, but it is my understanding that the Sulaka clan displaced and later absorbed them. Such is the way with Orion clans, they constantly rise, fall and are replaced buy new and more assertive houses.
As to the Pakleds are fools and scavengers, always have been. I wouldn’t put much thought as to them. Tho I image starfleet intelligence got some joy from an intact Breen ship. I know I did!”

Bog

“Hmmm Not what I would have wanted to run into out here.” And she was sure the captain wasn’t handling it well. “Once we get those Pakleds off the ship we’ll blow it space dust. we don’t need anyone else getting ahold of it and scaring people. But I can’t WAIT to see what Remington makes of this and how they got it.” Then to address his priced head, “I’ll add them to my list of things to keep track of. We don’t need them coming after you because someone absorbed into a different clan gets to take over and decide to come after you. The Orion clans are as volatile and unpredictable as a super nova.”

She turns back to the screen. “I’m going to fire at them, just to get them moving. Alfred, target their shields and fire a couple mini torpedos. Just enough to scare them.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

=^= Hold that order =^= came a voice from the Leviathan. Followed by =^= I will accept their surrender. Shuttle Valkyrja, stand down, but stay on alert in case they do something stupid. =^=

Then to the Pakleds he added, =^= Well now, I suppose that makes you my prisoners. Stand by and prepare to be beamed over to the Leviathan. =^=

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

The image of Cpt Kazela, still on screen of the CIC raised a brow that could only be the counselor. =^=They haven’t already done something stupid?=^= But she knew what Cobb meant. Casela reached over and cancelled the target lock. “Alfred let’s power down the weapons. Once we know that Cobb’s prisoner’s are off the Breen ship cancel the holographic displays and let’s get docked back in the shuttle bay.”

Several minutes later, 7 young Pakleds were confined to the brig on Leviathan. The scout ship showed no signs of weapons or aggressive maneuvers, and no life signs on board. “Bog, shall we take her back now? I think for a test flight, she’s had enough.”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

“Buy all means, one can only take so much tedium, Counselor.”
Bog

Casela looked over at Tellek and grinned sadly. “Test flight didn’t go as planned, huh?” She turned Valkyrja around, deactivating the holo emitters. =^=Valkyrja to Shuttle Bay. Requesting permission to dock.=^=
=^=Valkyrja, cut engines and prepare for docking procedures.=^=
Casela cut the engines and allowed the tractor beams to bring the shuttle in. And then she began the power down sequence. “Really Tellek the design is amazing. Your talents are waisted here on Leviathan. You should be heading up a ship yard somewhere. But I’m glad you’re here.” The shuttle settled onto the floor of the bay. “Alfred prepare a diagnostic of the damage incurred and display it on screen 3.”

Casela watched out the main port as the shuttle bay door closed and sighed wistfully. “Maybe we’ll get to take her out again, Bog. I’m going to have a LONG talk with McReady though. He was supposed to scan the whole sector before we left.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

When Synthi-er and Bog finally exited the shuttle at the conclusion of their test flight, they would find a lone figure in the centre of the main bay waiting to greet them - arms crossed, foot tapping impatiently, he appeared the very image of pure annoyance dressed with disbelief.

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

Casela was smiling slightly as she stepped off the ramp for Valkyrja. Half smiling because they were back on Leviathan in one piece, and the release of adrenaline from the near run-in with a Breen ship. In times of high stress and dangerous situations she’d always appeared to be laughing and lighthearted. It had scared her fellow section members. It how ever was just her reaction to the situation. The release of tension. Back then though she’d made a point of over exaggerating the habit just to drive home the attitude and persona she was creating. Here though, it was simple relief. AAAAANNNNDDDD her thoughts of what she was going to do to McReady when she found him.

But the second she stepped off the ramp she could feel the anger radiating off of Cobb. Casela straghtened her stance and schooled her expression VERY quickly. She was very tempted to throw Bog under the bus in a joking manner, but Cobb was likely to confine her to quarters this time. Well she’d been through worse things than a dressing down by a CO. She made her way over towards him wondering where Quinn was with one of her pastires to soothe the savage beast. And then of course she led her back to the fact that Quinn LIKED Cobb and she wondered what Quinn would make of the man, standing there, arms crossed, looking like an avenging god of war. And that thought, instead of being humorous made her cringe, she hoped no one told Ryder about this. Crap!

As she approached Cobb would hear her mutter under her breath, “Why am I always blamed for the trouble. I didn’t do anything THIS time.” She came to a stop in front of him, and in acknowledgement of how much trouble she knew she was in, she actually came to attention in front of him. “I blame McReady, he said the sector was clear.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS/Feeling like wayward teenager

“Because, Lieutenant Synthi-er,” Cobb replied as one eyebrow rose to his hairline, “you always seem to be in close proximity to the trouble. As for you, Mr Bog,” his eyes shifted downwards to the Tellarite at her side, “I wonder whether there is a single tool in your kit that isn’t laden with an additional helping of mischief and bother.”

The captain shook his head and, briefly, his demeanour softened, as if his anger was about to be dissipated by a hearty laugh. But when he focused on the pair again, the moisture in his eyes was caught by the harsh, overhead lighting and glistened like a thousand dying stars.
“Breen,” he whispered, almost to himself, “Why the bloody hell did it have to be Breen?!”

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

An elderly figure in black appeared at the captain’s right elbow with a silver tray with a lovely crystal decanter and a single cut tumbler. Pouring a two finger measure of the amber liquid, the Butler offers the glass to the Captain. “Sir, Perhaps this will help.”
Huey

“Don’t blame McReady. The Breen use high density tritaniam , just as Orion pirates and indeed your own shuttle. It makes scanning particularly difficult. “ turning to Captain Cobb, the short Tellarite spoke.” I believe the Gods have decided your time wallowing in self pity should come to an end, Captain, it’s time to seize your demons buy their horns and make them dance to your tune.”

Bog, the self destructive…
