“Uh. Yes sir. I am willing to work with the ensign. And besides I love to help others.”

Ensign Hawkeye Logan

OOC: Thanks!
IC:
Foricci blushed, embarrased. He hadn’t taken hourly readings for two hours now, and he knew he would be in trouble later. “Erm, go ahead. It’s been pretty quiet.”
-NE Foricci

“Ensign is there something going on? I’ve noticed that you blushed”. As Hawkeye mentioned. “Look you can talk to me. I’m an open book. I am a open book to be read and someone who is willing to talk to. You don’t need to worry about anything.” Said Hawkeye.

Surda shot an amused glance at Cobb. Yellow containment was probably not the best place for a heart to heart, and neither was in front of the Captain and a DH.

The captain chuckled and shook his head. Hawkeye was most certainly a character and no mistake. He could not help but wonder what the lad might make of his colleague, Dr Kastil, once he finally made it up to sickbay. Hopefully the sometimes sweet, sometimes terrifying medic would go easy on him. Then again, that all depended on which version of Kastil he ran into.

As for Foricci, the burning cheeks told him everything he needed to know about the hourly readings, or lack thereof. Technically Foricci had earned himself a reprimand for such slovenly record-keeping. But he figured this interaction with Ensign Logan might prove punishment enough.

Hawkeye looked very puzzled about what happened and he then said something to the captain and the DH “I’m sorry that wasn’t really appropriate to do or say while in front of my senior officers like that. I am so sorry I shouldn’t have done that. I will take full responsibility for it.” As he looked at them realizing he made a little mistake.

Still in the yellow containment as he was puzzled he went back to work and started to do his very best on getting the job done with the other Ensign. He then said to the ensign “Look as a deal, maybe we shouldn’t be doing this in front of them. We need to act professional when we are on duty.” As Hawkeye told Foricci.

“Let’s all just take a breath, shall we?” Zachariah took charge of what appeared to be a disintegrating situation. “This is a yellow level anomaly we are about to approach here. We can not afford to lose our focus for even a fraction of a second. Carroll might look harmless enough at first glances, perhaps even…comedic?” His gaze shifted from Logan to Foricci and back again, in an attempt to secure the full attention of each. “But let me assure you now, its yellow designation means that it has killed multiple victims. And it is perfectly capable of killing again. Understood?”

Stepping aside, he motioned for the two officers to approach the inner sanctum of the containment vessel, the low hum of an energy barrier the only indication of protective measures between themselves and the deadly flowers.
“Now, you can not make physical contact with them, for your own safety. But Ensign Logan, perhaps you can tell us what you make of their condition from visual observations?”

Behind the field, the strange flowers leaned forwards, as if to better see the individual on the other side.

“Yes sir. Sorry sir. Well sir as far as I can tell by just looking at it, it is perfectly harmless. But like you mentioned sir, it is dangerous and can kill like a Klingon would or even the borg sir. But I can tell that it is trying to gain all the knowledge from us and try to use it against us as much as possible but if we try to not let it get to us sir. As a precautionary person and someone who actually cares about a lot of people especially the lives of this crew. I suggest using our tricorders and scan it like any ordinary life form. Like I said sir, and it may sound weird coming from a human to be saying this but I’d say it’ll be illogical for anyone to get close to it. But it’ll be more logical to use our tricorders and get all the kind of information on this anomaly as much as we can, learn where it came from, what dimension it came from, what part of the galaxy it came from, what quadrant it came from and record it in starfleet records. Sir.” As Ensign Logan explained and expressed himself out to the captain.

“Besides we don’t even know what it’s intentions are. If it can communicate to us like I am with you captain. We should try asking it those question. It’ll give us some idea exactly where it came from. I have never since this kind of anomaly ever in my life. So it is very unusual for me to know exactly where it came or what it is exactly. Sir.” As Logan explained it even more, he then said, “Let’s play it safe then feel sorry for ourselves and take the precautionary suggestion I mentioned sir.”

Ensign Logan then waited to hear what the captain had to say and then noticed something odd about the anomaly. The anomaly is doing some really odd things to itself trying to communicate and he looks at it thinking to himself what is going on with this thing. It’s nothing that he’s seen before.

Ensign Hawkeye Logan.

Surda nodded slightly. “Good questions. Carroll has been in yellow containment for two months. We picked her up outside a colony where she had been eating livestock, then quickly graduated to the farmers. As far as our scientists have been able to tell, chemicals from a nebula were on the outside of the colonist’s shuttle, and these flowers reacted to them. The flowers also integrated some body parts, although no one is quite sure where they came from.” She grinned widely at the next portion. “As for communication, she speaks a simplified version of Orion sign, the same one I teach my security officers.” Carroll was the safest yellow anomaly, and officers guarding her had quickly gotten bored. She was approached with the experiment and offered it to the science department, who approved the experiment very enthusiastically. Carroll didn’t really need to be in yellow containment, but Surda had placed her there as a sort of stepping stone.

The anomaly in question was getting excited by all the attention. She moved towards the glass, ambling into the light. Carroll appeared to be a light blue orchid attached to the top of a pitcher plant. Vines waved around behind her, giving the ominous appearance of a tentacled monster, but the two leaves closest to the glass signed out an enthusiastic greeting.
-Surda, CoS and Carroll, the carnivorous plant

“What do we have to do? I mean could we scan it?”
