With a mixture of feelings, including trepidation and deja vu, Daizi stepped into sickbay and paused. She glanced about, trying to see if she could identify someone that could attend to her routine boarding physical, whilst at the same time trying to remain as unobtrusive and inconspicuous as possible.

After all, she had spent quite a large portion of her recent days, and indeed months, being poked and probed in various star fleet medical facilities and had no issues at all with coming back later if everyone was too busy to see her....

.... she started to slide a foot back the way she had come, trying to slowly inch her way out the door without being noticed but in a way that wouldn’t draw attention to the fact that she was trying to leave....

Ensign Daizi Orin - Scientist

“Well…” a mild tone said from behind the scientist as she tried to make her escape. “Normally people last a little longer than a few seconds when he enter sickbay.” A tall, dark haired man in blue wearing a black leather apron over his uniform had entered the bay unfortunately just as Daizi was trying to leave. “Going somewhere ensign?” he was smiling.

Dr Knox

“Err no Sir… I mean yes Sir, I mean....” said Daizi, looking around the room somewhat wildly, hoping that inspiration could be found hiding under a biobed or possibly being inconspicuous over there in the corner.

“I was… going in to Sickbay to get my boarding physical Sir” she stuttered out, falling back on technically correct grammar.

“Ensign Daizi Dinkley.... errr I mean Orin Sir…” she looked down at her boots on the decking, hoping perhaps some sort of deep space/time rift would conveniently open up and swallow her.

“Sorry....” she added again, somewhat lamely, “still not quite used to the whole name thing yet Sir”
