Casela was in a good mood, and that was rare and far between. ‘Well’ she grinned, ‘it used to be.’ But she really needed to curb it. People were going to think she was soft and she just couldn’t tollerate that. It was bad enough her staff was laughing at her. She knew they meant it in a good way, but still. What kind of scary counselor was she if they were laughing?

Either way she pulled her thoughts away from the now public knowledge of her relationship with Ryder and entered Jormungander Lounge. She peeked at the fish in Cobb’s fish tank and found a table to sit down at. She’d asked Surda and Quinn to join her there. Surda had a great security team. But she, Quinn, and herself had unique skills and it never hurt to keep them honed. The idea was to practice together, but it never hurt to have a group that already had contingency plans in place incase something went sideways on a ship. And why not them? They all knew how to keep a secret. Surda had a strong sense of loyalty and was a force to be reckoned with. Casela, well she had her unique access, contacts, and was also loyal to a fault. And Quinn. Well…Casela grinned, there wasn’t anything Quinn wouldn’t do for the captain....and crew of course. Casela mentally smacked herself. Really she needed to get her mind off of match making and back to work. Speaking of which....Surda…hmmm?
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Surda came into the room silently as ever, but with a grin on her face. She didn’t have very many social opportunities on the Striker, but she’d missed it. In fact… how long had it been since she was called by her first name? She shook her head. Her mind was wandering into inconsequential things. “We’re just waiting on one more now, no? I hear she’s your protégé.” She had heard many other things as well, but the protégé part she was pretty sure was true. She swept into the seat across from Casela, but what would usually be accompanied by rustling fabric was conspicuously quiet. A well-practiced skill of hers. She gave Casela a small smile, silently thanking her for the invitation.

OOC: By first name I mean the first-ever name she was given, not the name which comes first in her full name.
-Surda, CoS

Casela laughed, “I wouldn’t say protégé, but I have been working with her. She has a very unique natural talent for fighting. But she’s short so we’ve been working on using that to her advantage. Quinn Kindle, captain’s yeoman. She’s something else. Also part of RTF and giving the more experienced RTF crew a run for their money.” She admired Surda’s ability to move without noise. Silent movement and unseen movement were different skills, but tended to go hand in hand, but not everyone could master both. “I heard Cobb the other day referring to the three of us as his ‘Angels’ and was rather pleased with himself over it. I did some digging and it’s an old Earth media show. The idea was this man, and it never says exactly who or what he is, hires three women to do covert work for him. I thought it might not actually be a bad idea. Here lately we’ve been getting a lot of shuttles coming in and out of the bay and who knows what being delivered. I wanted to know your opinion of having a little group of us that isn’t necessarily there for ARU/RTF or basic security. And the three of us have a unique way of watching what is going on around the ship.”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

“We are excellently suited for that sort of work.” Surda wasn’t sure she could really be called an Angel, but as a reference, it would work. “I like it. The three of us would fill the role well.” She did want to meet Quinn though. “I have some weapons that were designed for a Tellarite pirate crew. Is she short enough that she might like them?” How she got the weapons would have to stay a secret.
-Surda, CoS

Casela grinned, “I think we are, thought I think the name is a bit of a misnomer. Probably one that the captain will take great pride in using. As for the weapons she just might. When she gets you can ask her.” Casela sipped at her water, called over the bartender so Surda could get something while they waited for Quinn.

OOC: She’s on LOA so we can keep chatting or wait till she gets back....whichever you want to do .
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

Surda nodded and ordered some fruit juice. “I vote we dress up as these angels for the next one of those Halloween celebrations.” She took a sip, then shrugged. “I just hope no one gets the wrong impression.”
-Surda, CoS

Casela laughed softly, “I don’t think that anyone would believe I’m an angel.” She did however pull out a PaDD and pulled up the details of the reference she’d found, and pass it to Surda. “Though I don’t think these women were really angels either. But I like the idea. They each had special skills put to good use and they worked well together.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Surda nodded as she looked at the PaDD. “I always thought Angels had wings.” She scrolled through some of the images then grinned and flipped the PaDD around. “I do like the style though.” It was exactly the sort of thing she used to wear, tight, black, and somewhat revealing.
-Surda, CoS

Casela laughed, getting the attention of some others in the lounge, and they all looked a little shocked and then quickly looked away. “I do like the style. Looks easy to move in and just enough…” she winked. She used to wear stuff like that when she was out working alone. “New uniforms? Think Cobb would go for it?”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Surda grinned mischievously. “I’m sure some people would…” She always attracted attention visually, but uniforms like that would make them more than a bit distracting. “It might lower overall productivity though.”
-Surda, CoS

Quinn walked in and grinned cheekily at her friend and for lack of better word mentor, the security officer Quinn knew from roster and comments from Cobb, though she had not as of yet spoken with her in person. She walked quietly to the table eyeing to two taller ladies. “Sorry for keeping you waiting.” She would explain the reason for her lateness if asked but if not she would let it be.
