SNIP
Casela laughed softly, “I don’t think that anyone would believe I’m an angel.” She did however pull out a PaDD and pulled up the details of the reference she’d found, and pass it to Surda. “Though I don’t think these women were really angels either. But I like the idea. They each had special skills put to good use and they worked well together.”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Surda nodded as she looked at the PaDD. “I always thought Angels had wings.” She scrolled through some of the images then grinned and flipped the PaDD around. “I do like the style though.” It was exactly the sort of thing she used to wear, tight, black, and somewhat revealing.
-Surda, CoS

Casela laughed, getting the attention of some others in the lounge, and they all looked a little shocked and then quickly looked away. “I do like the style. Looks easy to move in and just enough…” she winked. She used to wear stuff like that when she was out working alone. “New uniforms? Think Cobb would go for it?”
Lt. Synthi-er, CNS

Surda grinned mischievously. “I’m sure some people would…” She always attracted attention visually, but uniforms like that would make them more than a bit distracting. “It might lower overall productivity though.”
-Surda, CoS

Quinn walked in and grinned cheekily at her friend and for lack of better word mentor, the security officer Quinn knew from roster and comments from Cobb, though she had not as of yet spoken with her in person. She walked quietly to the table eyeing to two taller ladies. “Sorry for keeping you waiting.” She would explain the reason for her lateness if asked but if not she would let it be.

Casela pushed out a chair with her foot, “Have a seat Quinn. Have you met Surda yet? If not Surda meet Quinn, Quinn meet Surda. We all know each other now? Good!” She was in a particularly good mood at the moment. “Everything okay?”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

Quinn gave a cheeky grin, as she sat down in a smooth silent motion. “Nice to meet you,” she said looking at Sir Da and then nodded at Cas. “Fine. Took longer than I expected to sort through letters from home, seems some joker had all my mail rerouted and I just got it straightened out.” She left it unsaid that she fullly intended to find whomever messed with her personal correspondence and deal with them in her own way. Prank for a prank after all. Though it was more personal since they messed with her mail.

“It’s my pleasure,” Surda purred, smiling warmly to Quinn. “We were just discussing our rather interesting nickname, bestowed by the Captain himself.” She looked to Casela, knowing the other woman would take the cue, and the chance to tease a bit.
-Surda, CoS

Casela waved the bartender over to get Quinn a drink. She passed her the PaDD with the ‘uniforms’ Costumes from the original TV series. “We were discussing this nick name Cobb has given us: Cobb’s Angels. We could wear those. I’m not sure he sees me as an angel though? Maybe a terror that hides under the bed at night. But I’m sure one of you he considers an angel.” She didn’t want to tease Quinn too much. “But we all have a unique set of skills and I was wondering if perhaps we could put them to use and learn to work them together. It would make for a very unique and elite team on board. That doesn’t just focus on anomaly containment and recovery.”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

Quinn blinked a moment before she let out a delighted laugh. “I love it. The nickname is awesome.” The good natured teasing she wasn’t going to comment on. Yet. “What do you have in mind?”

Bump

Surda leaned forwards, ready to expound on the tactical advantages. “We are uniquely oriented as far as security goes. The two of you have access and insight that my security teams can only dream of. On top of that, three women, clearly comfortable being used as the first line of defense?” She grinned darkly. “That can be terrifying.”
-Surda, CoS

Casela chuckled darkly, “The advantage of being a woman. Even in our advanced society many often make the mistake of seeing femininity as being softer or weaker. And between the three of us we have some unique talents that they will never see coming. And people see what they want to see. It doesn’t matter what we tell them, they won’t believe it. And good costumes always help. If I walk like an old woman, that is what they will see and never look at me twice.”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

Quinn bit back a laugh, she could so see the three of them working together. “Oh the poor devils. I am game. What do we need to do?” she asked smiling brightly and full of cheek. Nothing like some good team work and showing folks they made a mistake in their assumptions.

Surda grinned mischievously. “I think we ought to let our Captain know we’ve accepted the moniker. Covertly, perhaps?” She tapped the PADD with the image on it.
-Surda, CoS

Casela grinned, “Anyone care for a trip through the jefferies tubes? We could just drop into his office.” She checked the time. “He’s still there nursing his evening drink before he comes to look at the fish.”
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

“An illicit midnight sneaking? You read my mind!” Surda turned to Quinn, studying her for a moment. Quinn would suit the weaponry she’d been thinking of quite well. A future birthday present perhaps.
-Surda, CoS

Quinn laughed delighted, “If we are literally going to spring this on him we should bring a gift,” she got to her feet in a smooth motion and walked to the bar and requested something from the bartender, after a moment he returned with a small box, Quinn checked the contents and closed the lid gently. She returned to Cas and Sir Da, “I’ll carry this, who’s taking point?” She asked looking from one to the other with a playfully cheeky smile showing off both of her dimples.

Casela grinned, “I will, I have the whole tube system memorized. Come on.” She got up and left the lounge with Surda and Quinn. She moved down the corridor past a few officers and the stopped, popped a hatch, “In you go ladies.” Then she slipped in behind them and replaced the hatch. “Alright, any one care to ‘slide’ the ladders, or you want to climb them?” She didn’t want to move faster than they were comfortable with. They had 15 decks to go, after all. She crawled a few hundred feet to the next interchange and then into the larger standing area and opened the hatch to allow them to climb the ladder down.
Lt Synthi-er, CNS

“Last I was in here, Durheim had me slide six decks,” Surda muttered. “I could do it again.” She felt oddly giddy, sneaking around for fun with people she could probably call friends. 7 or 8, that’s how old she would have been the last time she’d run around with a group like this. “This is nice,” she offered lamely, trying to voice her thoughts.
-Surda, CoS

Quinn thought for a long moment, “I can slide a few decks.” she rearranged her belt to help hold the box and followed Cas and Sir Da. She was comfortable with Cas already and getting a general sense she could trust Sir Da too, if all went well she might be ready to share something special with them both.
