Luran had been working on the solution for the XO’s problem for a while now. It had come to attention that when attempting to blend in to other cultures, the Commander’s spots were… problematic. In the end, a cream had been developed, like a spot hiding lotion. It wasn’t makeup, that would rub off far too easily. Instead, the idea was, until it wore off, it would simply make the spots the same colour as the rest of Raauhl’s skin. It turned out to be an… off-putting texture, rather like rubbing oneself down with tasteless jelly, but it would (hopefully) do its job all the same.And Luran was confident it was ready to put to the test. With the prototype jar of the cream in hand, she paged the Commander to please report to Sickbay.

Ryder would be lying if he said he wasn’t interested in the page that had been sent by Ensign Akunon. It was short and to the point which Raauhl liked. Finding himself entering sickbay he looked around , “Ensign Akunon?” He’d discussed with her a few times about the difficult and long winded medical procedures he had undergone in past lives to conceal his spots, she’d vow to find a way to make it easier.

“Commander. I believe I’ve found the answer.” She must have been in a more emotional mindset, because she almost looked… excited. She produced the jar and showed it to Raauhl. “It is a lotion, or balm… it should make the spots the same color as the rest of your skin, while you’re trying to blend in.” She offered it to him. “It is safe, that is, it won’t burn or poison you. Or make you sick.” That last one was a big, fat probably. But Luran figured the odds were low enough it best go unmentioned.

Taking the medial officers word for it he smiled in similar delight, “Brillaint! You have no idea how many times ive had to undergo surgery to hide these and then another to bring them back and they never seem to look like the way they did before.” Taking the jar he screwed the lid and gave the contents a look, giving it a smell before a prod. “So I just rub this over the exposed area like a lotion?” He asked her own excitement rubbing of on him, he appreciated her efforts.

Luran nodded. “That is how it is intended to be used.” She didn’t quite understand the importance of how the spots looked, but then, she considered if she ever had to surgically change her ears or something. Would it matter to her? She didn’t think so, but she couldn’t be sure. Either way, it mattered to Raauhl, that’s why she agreed to help him. “Give it a try,” she prodded, gesturing to the jar.

Raauhl looked at the jar before unscrewing the lid, instinctively he gave the contents a sniff but it seemed odourless. “I guess if it doesn’t smell bad it cant be bad right?” He joked dipping two fingers into it. Surprisingly the contents were warm and not the cold he’d expected, he slowly began to apply the cream over a few of his spots which ran from the center of his head down o his shoulders. “So?” He asked not being able to see the transformation himself.
