Raauhl accompanied with the RTF detachment at the order of Cobb assembled outside of their prestigious lounge, ‘ Why does every anomaly end up in the lounge’ He thought thinking about the ice cloud and other lethal anomalies. The Trill XO had thought about facing another threat after his most recent death experience, some called it to near death but he had actually died and was only brought back to life thanks to the powers of yet another anomaly.

Once those who went to investigate the Lounge arrived, the first thing they’d notice was the wind. Air was pushing against their direction of travel, making it hard to walk.

The second thing was… A fold. It looked like someone had taken a picture of the lounge and printed it out full-size, and something was now trying to get through from behind the picture. The fold seemed to ripple.

  • ???

Raauhl studied the area they had exposed by opening the doors, “One-day we’ll have butterflies or flowers” He commented, “What do the internal scanners say?” He asked the RTF members of the group, he could easily check himself but he didn’t want to deprive others of their actual job, besides he was too concerned about watching the area in front of him than scanners, he’d rather not die again.

  • Commander Raauhl, XO

Scanners detected a spacial anomaly. Gravity was being weird. Then, just as suddenly as the anomaly began, space went back to normal. There was a bit of a ripple, but all readings returned to regular space.

Well, except for one thing. In the middle of the room there were two humanoid figures. One in a fetal position, and the other with arms wrapped around the first as if trying to keep them warm. Scans revealed them to be alive, but in poor shape - dehydrated and unconscious.

There were tachyon particles emitting from them, so that was odd.

  • ??? I hope this is an okay way of doing this

Juliet was coming down the hall as the others gathered. Unaware of the readings in the lounge before the door opened, she shook her head. “So we don’t know how much of the goo is missing from the station but we should have an answer soon. Hope there isn’t much more. Not sure we want the entire ship frozen out to collect it all.” As she got closer, she watched the others and was prepared to back them up if anything tried to escape.

“Check the rest of the room and the kitchen to see if there is anyone else.” Raauhl ordered entering the room, the two humanoid figures on the floor were most likely not human not entirely anyway. “Hello, I am sorry for the conditions but we had no other choice. Who are you and what are you doing on this ship? Once we know you’re no harm to us or this ship we can look at making things more comfortable.” Raauhl didn’t like the idea that what they were doing were harming the entities but also he had his people to think about.

  • Cmdr Raauhl, XO

OOC: Pasting myself back in…

IC: Nurse Morella had been enjoying a quick raktajino espresso (a recipe she’d picked up during her service on the Viking) when the incident had begun. Skilled in neither security or RTF procedures, still she had suspected her medical knowledge to be at least tangentially useful under the circumstances. And so as others began to arrive at the lounge she had hunkered down behind one of the striped benches. And watched…

Commander Raauhl’s arrival triggered two burgeoning suspicions in the mind of the young woman. One, that whatever was happening here had to be of huge significance to draw the attention of the Leviathan’s First Officer. And two, that she would probably be in line for a disciplinary for ignoring the Captain’s orders to lock down. But as the two figures began to materialise, both tendrils of thought were dismissed as she instinctively activated her tricorder and began a cautious approach.

“They’re alive,” she called out Raauhl, “but unconscious and severely dehydrated. We need to act fast if we want to save them.”

  • NE Morella (Nurse)

Raauhl had immediately wondered why the Nurse was here in the first place but decided this wasn’t the right time or place, he’d contact Knox and let him deal with any disciplinary for what was essentially disobeying orders. “We should see to get them to sickbay, but we must make sure that sickbay is secure.” =^= Commander Knox, we’re bringing two casualties to you, I recommend Bio contamination and an RTF team to meet us.=^= Explained the Trill XO, “OK, Lets get some stretchers in here and move them=^=

  • Commander Raauhl, XO

Morella took the Commander’s response as a signal that she could continue with her duties. For now. Moving closer to the two figures, the nurse scanned the room then nodded when her eyes fell on Juliet Anders.
“Ensign, could you give me a little RTF backup here please? Just in case?”

Then, her eyes falling back to her tricorder, the young woman frowned. “Commander Raauhl, these lifeforms appear to be emitting tachyon particles.”

  • NE Morella (Nurse)

The figures, being unconscious, did not respond to any of Raauhl’s questions. The tachyon emissions seemed to be dropping off slightly.

Visually, it was very clear that the pair weren’t human. Both of them had thick fur covering their body, wolf-like faces, and Digitigrade legs. There was a fluffy tail on both, and their hands and feet had only four fingers/toes instead of the standard five.

One was slightly larger than the other. The larger individual’s fur was shades of grey and brown, and they wore a uniform that looked very much like a Starfleet uniform, but it wasn’t one they’d easily recognize. There was the recognizable Starfleet insignia above their chest though. The smaller individual wore what looked like a lab coat, and their fur was shades of white and pale orange.

  • ???

Ooc: y’all can decide whether your character has encountered the Laleri before. They’re not super common in Starfleet because their species has a low population, but they get around.
- Mir

Raauhls immediate thought turned to that the intruders were Caitian but they weren’t quiet right perhaps some extended family perhaps. “Are you saying they’ve somehow been transported here from the Past or future?” Raauhl looked closer, the insignia on their chest reassembled that of Starfleet but it wasn’t exactly a match. “I hate time travel” He said, “Lets get them straight to sick bay I’m starting to think there’s more to play and these two are not perhaps as dangerous as we first thought lets see if they show up in our files.” Several RTF officer had arrived carrying stretchers, the Tachyons meant he wasn’t willing to risk transporters.

“I have no idea, Sir,” Morella shrugged, clearly feeling a little out of her depth when it came to the intricacies of time travel, “but then from what I’ve heard around the ship, that would tie in with the anomaly we’re out here to investigate?”

Another glance at her tricorder and she added, “The computer is registering them as Galdori. Specifically Laleri. I…I am unfamiliar with their race.” Humiliating to display such a lack of knowledge before the ship’s First Officer. At that moment Morella felt sure she would end the day in the Leviathan’s brig. But first, she still had patients to attend to. Until she was kicked off their case, at any rate.

=^=Raauhl to the CIC please clear a path from the lounge to sickbay we have two.... Unusual Starfleet personnel in need of medical assistance and both are emitting Tachyon radiation=^=

  • Commander Raauhl, XO

The young nurse fell silently in line behind the RTF and closed out the sombre procession to the medical bay.

  • NE Morella (Nurse)

=^= Tachyon radiation? =^= Cobb was heard to exclaim over the comms, before responding to Raauhl directly with =^= Copy that, Commander, I’ll have security clear the way. =^=

Then, unheard by those gathered in the lounge, Cobb contacted Luna. =^= Ensign Luna, please proceed to the Jörmungandr lounge. We have a potential biohazard that requires transport to the medical bay and I need you to be sure that their path is clear of any wandering crewmembers. =^=

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

=^= Under stood Captain I’m on my way=^= she said. She headed strate to the lounge clearing corridors as she went. she entered the Lounge and looked around for the medical persenel or whoever was in charge. “Are you redy to transport” She asked calmly.
Ensign Luna

Juliet, silent and following orders, had helped to cover the nurse in case the intruders had awakened and been an issue. When others arrived, she kept herself between the XO and the stretchers and finally was the first into the hall to clear the way. She told one of the NEs to stay between the two stretchers and another to take up the rear and get the nurse to safety if things went sideways.

As they were about to exit the lounge, the door opened and Luna appeared. Juliet smiled with boss to the unconscious figure behind her. “Ready to go. You take lead and get about twenty yards ahead of us. I don’t want anyone getting caught up against the bulkheads as we move. We need to hurry.” She nodded behind to the last NE beside the nurse. “He’s got rear guard to keep the curious from following us. You ready?”

She nodded to the XO and waited for Luna to lead them quickly to sickbay.
