Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, came the sound of Jackson’s loud exhale as he stepped off the shuttle which had taken him aboard the Leviathan. The smell of a big ship. Not quite metallic, not quite plastic-y. Not quite warm, not quite cool. Not quite… well, not quite comparable to anything, I suppose. His internal monologue continued as he made his way aboard, noting some eyes on him here and there. Jackson got the feeling the Levi’s crew didn’t get very many new additions, and based on the limited information he’d been given about the ship’s mission, he could understand some skepticism about his presence. Well, that’ll change soon enough. He frowned. Change for the better. The frown dissipated just as quickly as it had arrived, and he continued on his way out of the shuttle bay.

Pryce had finally been granted access to a PADD once he made it near what he gleaned was some sort of ready room, and even then only with some reluctance and an attentive eye watching his fingers as they searched for the location of his superior’s office. Jackson historically had had a love-hate relationship with meetings - they were often the absolute definition of a waste of time that could otherwise be spent in the field or the lab. But initial meetings were important, if only to get a read on his boss’s expectations and demeanor. And an opportunity to start off on the right foot, he reminded himself. He just hoped his CSO - he looked down at the PADD once more before handing it back to the officer - Michaels, yes. He hoped Michaels wouldn’t ask too many uncomfortable questions. Although, it would be a little funny to be unable to tell your immediate superior something, he thought.

“Deck 4,” Jackson said to the turbolift, and was immediately lifted up at a steady pace. I’m being lifted inside of Mjolnir. Does that make me worthy? He smirked to himself as the elevator’s doors opened and he stepped out into… well, pretty much directly into the ship’s science lab. Not exactly his expectation, but it was nice to be back in a lab setting. He noticed an odd half-separation on one side of the room, and it was with some effort that he managed to make the connection of, that’s their office? He smirked again, this time a bit more subdued - more a smile of interest at the room’s design - and continued toward the office, nodding at a curious researcher as he passed. Well, at least it has a bell, he thought, as he pressed the button to alert Chief Michaels to his presence.

OOC: Hey, S! I’m excited to RP with you. I figured I’d start off with a check-in with you, since it makes the most sense (or at least, Jackson thinks it does ;)). Feel free to have a read over his bio and use anything you find there, and ask me any questions about myself or the character! I’m excited to work with you :)

T’Mara glanced up from her computer display at the sound of the bell. Though it was possible to close the door to her office, she had it set in the open position. There seemed to be no logic to keeping it closed normally. She recognized the man who stood there from the personnel file she had reviewed. He looked much as she had expected.

She stood. “Mr. Pryce. Come in. Have a seat,” she said. “I assume your trip here was satisfactory.”

OOC: A pleasure to be working with you. Give me a yell sometime when you get the chance.

OOC: Apologies for the late response, beginning of my term + work got the better of me!

IC:
“Good enough, sir, if a bit mysterious compared to my last shipside posting.” He slid into the offered seat, settling in with seeming ease. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, I look forward to working together.” As he finished this amiable greeting, Jackson offered his form of a smile, which was rather more stiff than would be expected of one brought about by genuine mirth or happiness. Then again, much of his emotions weren’t exactly what might be expected.
