Arriving at the Alpha Sickbay, Ashir enters the room and looked around the place. The Sickbay was containing approximately 30 to 50 beds and was equipped for all sorts of treatments. The place was almost empty, which was understandable since the crew had access to the Starbase’s medical facility.
The Andorian walked through the room, passed the surgery suite, and arrived in front of another door, which was meant to be the CMO’s office. He quickly brushed his uniform, checked to see if his hairs were attached, and ringed the chime of the room, waiting for an answer.

The door opened immediately to reveal a tall dark haired man wearing the teal uniform of medical and a black leather apron over it. He raised his eyebrows as is the young doctor was not who he had been expecting and said “Good afternoon, I am Doctor Knox, can I be of any assistance to you Lieutenant.”

Dr Knox
Ashir immediately recognized the name. Dr. Knox, his new DH. “Pardon my intrusion, Commander. I’m here to report for duty, but I can come back later if I’m disturbing.”
While living among humans, Ashir has noticed that manners and humbleness were important factors during a first encounter and Ashir’s ususal manners were often seen as rude and unpolite, judging by his former superiors’ reactions. He hope he was careful enough this time.

Theo gave a warm smile. “Welcome to the Leviathan. Please…” he stepped back and waved into the office. “…come inside and have a seat.” He said and moved back to allow the other man entry.

Dr Knox
“Thank you, Sir”, says Ashir. It seems like his attempt worked, as he saw the Lieutenant smile. That’s a good start, I guess, thought the Andorian.

He started to walk and sat in a chair in front of the desk, waiting for Knox to say something. Don’t want to look impatient on the first day.

Theo lowered himself into his own chair and indicated the seat opposite. “Please, sit. Tell me how was your journey?”

Dr Knox
Ashir sighed as he thought of his stay at the station : “Well, it was boring. Nothing interesting happened and I had to wait for a whole week for the ship.” But now here he was, and surely they will have a lot happening on the ship. Ashir was not a man of action, but he could easily get bored when monotony strikes.

“Still, I’m glad to be on board”, continues the Andorian. “I’ve heard a lot of things about this ship at the Academy, and about his special mission. It has some kind of mystical sense, you see ?”

bump

Ooc: oops sorry! Missed this one

“Indeed?” Theo said with a smile, “tell me what do you understand about the Leviathan and it’s mission?”

Dr Knox
OOC : No worries :)

Ashir thought for a few seconds before saying : “Um, well… From what I’ve heard, it’s the Leviathan’s mission to seek out anomalies that could endanger the universe and contain them, while conducting research and experiment to better understand them.”

Lieutenant Ashir th’Qiaqir

Theodore nodded. “Succinctly put yes that is the mission of this vessel and the charge of her crew, however I caution you that it will not be an easy mission nor one free from danger. I hope you are aware of this before you commit yourself to the post.” He turned to look at the replicator. “Tea?” He asked with a charming smile as if he had not measly moments before been acting as a prophet of doom.

Dr Knox

Ashir nodded : “With salt, please.” He liked salt in his beverage. For Andorian, it has a spicy taste that brings new flavors to any plate or beverage. Humans don’t have the chance to taste the true aroma of this mineral.

Back to Knox’s warning, he replied : “Honestly, if I wanted a peaceful life, I wouldn’t be in Starfleet, believe me. I expect some danger, maybe even wanting them, and be sure that I’ll be ready to face them.”
