IC: Strawberries. Cobb had not enjoyed anything so decadent for months. ARU prisoner rations were hardly medieval, still, they in no way extended to cover delicacies like fresh fruit. It was from this cherished position, in the centre of the refreshment table, that the captain looked up as the newcomer approached.

“Ah, Lieutenant…” A glance towards the Admiral for help.
“Lieutenant Dysart, Captain. Communications.”
“Communications, eh?” Now Zachariah was back in full swing, approaching the officer with outstretched hand. “An interesting position on an ARU vessel, I’d imagine? Has that been the way of things for you so far, eh?”

Alan shook the Captain’s hand. “Yes, sir. So far, there’s been something new almost every day.”

“The Leviathan likes to keep us all on our toes, and no mistake,” Cobb responded with a wink.

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

“Lt DiNozzo reporting in Cap’n.” He said with a smiled.

Tactical Offier DiNozzo

“DiNozzo,” Zachariah rolled the name around on his tongue. “Is that Italian?”

“Yes Cap’n. That is correct it is Italian sir.”

Then approaching the refreshments and procuring another whiskey, he enquired, “Can I offer either of you a drink?”

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

“Yes, please. Sir.” Alan said, looking to the table to spy the options. “I’ll have what you’re having, sir.” Alan knew next to nothing about alcohol, or synthehol, but he was pretty sure it seemed like he did.

“A commendable choice,” a large tumbler of whiskey was handed to Dysart.

“Sir that will be great what do we have?” He asked.

CTO DiNozzo

“What do we have?” Cobb beckoned DiNozzo up to the table, arm sweeping over an array of tempting food and drinks. “As of directive Omega-seven-one-one, all replicators have been removed from the starbase to prevent anomalous cross-contamination.” Involuntary shudder as the inciting incident was recalled, gustatory empathy briefly choking both Roebuck and Cobb. “But we can still offer whiskey, gin, or beer. Or if it’s something more civilised that you seek, then we have several varieties of tea. Vulcan spiced, earl grey or American iced and sweet.”

“I’ll take Earl Grey tea sir.” He said.

Adam had been lurking somewhere deep within the station when he felt his Communicator vibrate a message, a few minutes later he got himself in a position where he could listen to the message, he hadn’t heard anything regarding who would be captaining the Leviathan. A short trip to his temporary quarters and a sonic shower later he arrived at the meeting location. He’d timed it carefully, he hadn’t managed to be first so he decided to be last. He looked between the two officers present, the Admiral and then the Captain, his face showing no reaction “Admiral, Captain” He said with a respectful nod to each officer.

-Lt Dysart

“Aaah,” the captain peered over at the newcomer. “Now you, I have met before. Lieutenant Commander Magnusson, if my memory serves correct?”
One hand extended in greeting as he stepped forward. “Good to see you made it out of Alini alive.”

Adam took the hand in a firm grip “It’s good to see you as well, sir” He said in response.

Then a chuckle, as attention returned to the refreshments. “And what will it be for you, Lieutenant Commander? You can tell a lot about an officer from his or her choice of drink. Isn’t that right, Lieutenant DiNozzo?” he gently goaded his CTO.

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

“Yes sir. An officer is sometimes a picky person to when it comes to their drinks. As for me, I’m more of earl grey tea. So yes you can tell a lot about an officer from his or her choice of drink. I’ve always been like that myself. It also all depends on the mood.” He said to the Lieutenant Commander then looked at the captain and grinned.

CTO DiNozzo

The intelligence Chief gave DiNozzo a flat look before turning his attention back to the Captain “Water is fine, thank you” He said in his same calm tone.
