OOC: So this will hopefully give some action to those players not part of the away team. Anyone who doesn’t have somewhere else to be posting during the sim is welcome to join in here…

IC: Less than an hour had passed since Commander Raauhl’s departure. Any minute now Cobb expected to hear the tell-tale chirp of the comms channel and a message announcing they had arrived on the Celeste’s bridge. But in the meantime, the captain paced. And stopped. And gulped coffee. And paced again.

“MacReady. Anything new to report?” Cobb gave voice to an anxious desperation.
“No, captain.”
“Good.”

And so the cycle began anew. Pace. Drink. Pace. Drink. Question MacReady. Drink. Coffee then whiskey then coffee.
“Captain!” MacReady’s call was like a sledgehammer to slowly fracturing glass.
“Aye? What is it?”
“I’m reading a ship. Just entered the sector and heading our way. It appears to be Orion.”

While the captain paced, a ripple in the shadows on the wall seemed to elongate until a child stood clad in dark leggings, an oversized grey jumper and fluffy grey socks. She watched Cobb with intense glowing yellow eyes as he paced and sat on the captains chair.

The ship entering the sector was different from before. She waited resting her chin on the arm of the captains chair.
