Lance was once again with afew old school hunter equipment on the table he was making notes on how to update the old gear for modern use. He had mad a very useable prototype for a particle crossbow stunner. The bolt will be fired by a particle stream. Then the bolt makes contact it will start tazing into it is knocked out or intill the shooter shuts off the bolt.After a few minutes he put his work aside and relaxed with some cold green tea.

Lt. Lance Von HellsingKit was famished and headed to the mess hall to get something to eat before she went to her newly assigned quarters and unpacked. She stepped into the mess hall and saw a Terran sitting at a table what appeared archaic weapon sitting on top of it. She walked over to the replicator and ordered her food; xiqai Kytherian Craband a Terran Mocha. Intrigued by what she saw she approached the table, “May I sit here Sir?” she inquired.

The man looked up at the new comer and smiled “yes you may” the man didn’t look like a star fleet officer he had on Keke BDU and a black shirt and a white lab coat on. “So you look like you just came a board” he said “I am Dr. Hellsing I have the rank of Lieutenant and I am the CE and the CA on this vessel”

Lt. Lance Von Hellsing (CE/CA)“Pleasure to meet you Sir. My name is Ensign Kitiuas Thenis, newly assigned ‘Monster Hunter’ I guess. I have doctoral degrees in Entomology/Arachnology, Cryptozoology, and a few Master’s degrees. Guess Starfleet felt I would be qualified to be assigned to this ship, given its mission.” Replied Kit. “So, what are you working on now Sir? It appears to be an archaic crossbow, fitted with modern technology?”

(No what Hellsing made was a futuristic crossbow system. The old crossbow is on top of stack of books)
“What I have here is a particle propelled crossbow” Lance closed his eyes. “So what do you know about the name Hellsing” he asked

Kit thought a few seconds, recalling her Terran Classical Literature course. “I believe he was one of the main characters in Bram Stroker’s novel Dracula, a gothic fiction from the Victorian era.” She stated. “I believe the vampire hunter’s name was Abraham Van Helsing. That is about as much as I know.” Replied Kit. Intrigued as to why he asked her such a question.
