Ashara Mavix found herself suddenly struck nervous by the com call, as far as she could tell, her first few weeks aboard the Leviathan had gone quite well, and knowing friends who had gone through the same sort of thing, a private conversation with the Commanding Officer of a Starship didn’t always go the way you wanted to…
Had she done something wrong? Were the crew unhappy with her as CoS? There was only one way to find out… Calming her breathing, she crossed into the CO’s ready room and stood in front of the doorway at attention, “Reportin’ as ordered, ma’am.”

Iphigenia turned towards Ashara and bid her to come in with the motion of her hand as she also spoke the words, “Please come in, Lieutenant. Have a seat.” Her head and eyes gestured toward an empty chair.
As she sat at her desk, there was a cup of tea sitting there already. The steam could be seen drifting from it as Iphigenia picked it up and took a sip. “Before we get started please feel free to grab yourself a drink from the replicator.”

Ash turned to the replicator and said quickly, “Decaf Raktajino, dash of Bajoran sweet cream.” As the drink materialised on the replicator pad, Ash found that she couldn’t help herself, “Have… I done something wrong ma’am?”

Iphigenia looked at the woman, “That statment to me makes me thing you have, Lieutenant Mavix. When I was a little gire and I asked my father If I did something wrong?, he use to tell me, “You have now.” However,” she said with a slight smile, “It is normal to assume that being called into the Captain’s ready room may not always be a good sign. You have better things to do afterall. Isn’t that right?” she took a sip of her tea then said, “I have called you here because I need to do something for me.”

Ash relaxed a little, letting a quizzical look cross her face, “Well I gotta say ma’am,” she began, “You got me intrigued… How can I help?”

Ensign Saoir has expressed interest in transitioning out of his transporter duties. He wishes to become a full-time security officer. First I need you to assess his readiness for a full-time security role and second, he will need to be trained on how to handle anomalies on the ship.”
Iphigenia tapped her comm badge and said, “Ensign Saoir, please come to the ready room.” Within minutes Saoir appeared outside the door of the ready room. Iphigenia waved him in.

When Saoir arrived at the ready room, he noticed his commanding officer, Lieutenant Mavix, and the captain in conversation. When the Captain waved him in he slowly entered the room. “You called Captain?” Saoir asked as he placed both hands behind his back.
