Cochrane spent the first twenty-four hours of his tenure trying to get things sorted, but time was pressing. Tapping is commbadge, he said =/\= CO to all Department Heads and Command Staff. Please report to the conference room in one hour. Prepare department updates and briefings for presentation. Thank you. =/\= and he sat back in the chair of the ready room and rubbed his temples. Looking up at the gold ox on the wall, he said quietly “Well… wish me luck.” and stood up and exited the ready room.

Upon hearing the comm, Riali rose her head from the monitor at her desk. Having been reviewing the information behind this ‘Audrey’ creature currently inhabiting one of their science bays, Deandres was minutely disappointed at the interruption. Alas, duty called and this sentient plant was going to have to wait a few more hours for the scientist’s scrutiny. Although it took her several moments to gather herself and the briefing data, she was out of her office with enough time to spare a coffee. Riali, despite her erratic mannerisms, could barely function without the luxurious bean. Time passed quickly, with a few minutes left, and the thought of an odd exchange with a Security Ensign, Deandres stepped into the conference room, briefly surveying it for a sign of any other officers.

Logan entered next. He took his normal seat at the table. He waited for the rest of the department heads to arrive.

Cochrane entered and smiled at the CSO and the Security Chief. “Morning.” he said cheerfully as he took his seat at the head of the table. Setting a mug emblazoned with the ship’s crest of the USS Magill down next to him, he said “We’ll wait for the others to arrive before we begin. But in the mean time… how are you both this morning?” he asked in a friendly and informal manner.

Cochrane, CO

OOC: Fixing typo.

Logan replied, “I’m doing just fine, thank you, Sir.”

CoS

“Glad to hear it, Mr. Drake.”

OOC: Pasting CSO’s response.

“Thanking the gods that coffee exists,” Riali mused, taking a sip from her mug as if to emphasize her point. “What about you, Skipper?” She returned the question, her nature amicable albeit holding a certain respect for the ranking man.

Lt. Deandres
CSO

Cochrane smiled slightly and said “Feeling the same about my tea, Lieutenant.” he replied.

Commander Creed came in, he had come with Celina shortly behind him if not running a bit slow. “Sorry, the replicator had a malfunction, couldn’t make Celina’s blonde coffee… or whatever it’s called… just the way she likes it. So she… well she should be behind me Captain.” Ardashir said as he sad next to the Captain.

Creed, XO

“Just because I am stationed in the middle of nowhere does not mean I have to live like a heathen,” she said with a grin holding the coffee up as if in a toast hearing Jack’s comment.

“Captian,” she nodded to her senior officer as she took a seat at the table.

Lt. Celina Rodriguez CTO

“If a small delay is what it takes to get us all caffeinated and ready for the day… so be it, Commander.” Cochrane replied with a small chuckle.

“Morning Captain, Commander,” Walker said as he walked into the conference room, a steaming mug of coffee in his hand. There was just something about the smell of coffee that he enjoyed, no matter what time of the day it was. “So what do the brass have for us this time?”

Walker moved around and took one of the empty seats on the far side of the table. He hoped he wasn’t taking anyones usual seat.

WO Darach - COO

“Mr. Darach. Morning to you as well. And we will answer that particular question once we have everyone here. I trust you are settling in all right?”

Cochrane, CO

“Oh you know how it goes, new ship, new people trying to electrocute themselves in the jefferies tubes,” Walker said taking a sip of his coffee. “You know, the usual.” He settled into the seat and waited to hear what they had them going up against this time.”

Jasmine walked into the room and scanned it looking for Max. The man was never late for anything unless it had to do with an engine, circuitry, or someone somewhere stuck in a transporter buffer. Not seeing him she moved to the seat she and he often occupied at the table and waited setting down the two coffee’s she brought. He would be here in just a minute. To occupy herself, Jasmine pulled out her PaDD and began to look over the monthly reports from Sickaby.

Max was not in fact very far behind, but he did walk in grumbling something under his breath about replicators and worn circuitry from excessive coffee orders. It was barely audible by human standards. Seeing Jaz, he made a straight line for their seats and simply nodded to those he past, then paused as he saw what she had brought them. “You know, I was pretty sure I married you for all the right reasons, now I know for sure. Hi darling.” He said and gave her a kiss on the cheek as he sat down beside her.

He hadn’t seen his wife in a large number of hours, and didnt care if people objected to his greeting her. Their sonic showers might malfunction after all. Relaxing slightly in his seat before the meeting began, he placed a hand on Jaz’s knee and gave it an affectionate squeeze.
