Logan replied, “I’m doing just fine, thank you, Sir.”

“Glad to hear it, Mr. Drake.”

OOC: Pasting CSO’s response.

“Thanking the gods that coffee exists,” Riali mused, taking a sip from her mug as if to emphasize her point. “What about you, Skipper?” She returned the question, her nature amicable albeit holding a certain respect for the ranking man.

Cochrane smiled slightly and said “Feeling the same about my tea, Lieutenant.” he replied.

Commander Creed came in, he had come with Celina shortly behind him if not running a bit slow. “Sorry, the replicator had a malfunction, couldn’t make Celina’s blonde coffee… or whatever it’s called… just the way she likes it. So she… well she should be behind me Captain.” Ardashir said as he sad next to the Captain.

Creed, XO

“Just because I am stationed in the middle of nowhere does not mean I have to live like a heathen,” she said with a grin holding the coffee up as if in a toast hearing Jack’s comment.

“You could just try my tea, you could like it and I would make that for you… but nooooo.” Jack retorted with an eyeroll.

“Jack,” Celina drew his name in a small sing song type voice. “Do you know why the Persians were the first people to establish regular routes of communication between Africa, Asia and Europe? They were tired of drinking tea,” she said back with a wink. “I mean who can blame them. They only had coffee’s watered down red headed step child for millenia. And you do make me coffee,” she reminded him with a smile.

Lt. Celina Rodriguez CTO

“Captian,” she nodded to her senior officer as she took a seat at the table.

“If a small delay is what it takes to get us all caffeinated and ready for the day… so be it, Commander.” Cochrane replied with a small chuckle.

“Morning Captain, Commander,” Walker said as he walked into the conference room, a steaming mug of coffee in his hand. There was just something about the smell of coffee that he enjoyed, no matter what time of the day it was. “So what do the brass have for us this time?”

Walker moved around and took one of the empty seats on the far side of the table. He hoped he wasn’t taking anyones usual seat.

WO Darach - COO

“Mr. Darach. Morning to you as well. And we will answer that particular question once we have everyone here. I trust you are settling in all right?”

Cochrane, CO

“Oh you know how it goes, new ship, new people trying to electrocute themselves in the jefferies tubes,” Walker said taking a sip of his coffee. “You know, the usual.” He settled into the seat and waited to hear what they had them going up against this time.”

Jasmine walked into the room and scanned it looking for Max. The man was never late for anything unless it had to do with an engine, circuitry, or someone somewhere stuck in a transporter buffer. Not seeing him she moved to the seat she and he often occupied at the table and waited setting down the two coffee’s she brought. He would be here in just a minute. To occupy herself, Jasmine pulled out her PaDD and began to look over the monthly reports from Sickaby.

Lt. Jasmine Wynter

Max was not in fact very far behind, but he did walk in grumbling something under his breath about replicators and worn circuitry from excessive coffee orders. It was barely audible by human standards. Seeing Jaz, he made a straight line for their seats and simply nodded to those he past, then paused as he saw what she had brought them. “You know, I was pretty sure I married you for all the right reasons, now I know for sure. Hi darling.” He said and gave her a kiss on the cheek as he sat down beside her.

He hadn’t seen his wife in a large number of hours, and didnt care if people objected to his greeting her. Their sonic showers might malfunction after all. Relaxing slightly in his seat before the meeting began, he placed a hand on Jaz’s knee and gave it an affectionate squeeze.

Faye slipped in quietly and seeing everyone gathered, she simply took up an unobtrusive spot in one corner at the back. This was quite the ideal situation for her, all told, but at the same time, there were so many new variables that she had to tread very, very carefully. One wrong move and te next time she was in a meeting like this, it was going to be a very different and possibly uncomfortable experience. Well, maybe it was always going to be, but she still was of a mind that it wasn’t going to be taken as badly as some expected.

~Faye Calloway, Data Specialist

Cochrane cleared his throat and said “I appreciate you all coming on short notice. Before we begin our discussion of the task before us, I would like a brief report from each of you on the status of your respective departments, any outstanding issues that need addressed prior to our departure, and any assistance you may require from outside your sections. After that, you will get a briefing concerning some work being done ship-wide by our Mission Specialist Lieutenant Calloway. After that, we will have a quick and informal discussion of what we want to see outside of our mission specifications and try to generate a preliminary mission objective to tackle once we have completed our primary mission.” and he took a sip of his tea.

“Now, I know that I have not personally met with many of you. I apologize for that, and for the recent upheaval in Command structure changes. I trust we are all professional and competent enough to take such changes in stride and ‘sally forth with haste and dispatch’, as my Great-Grandfather was want to say. So… a bit about me so we can get that out of the way.”

“I am Ralph Alexander Cochrane, Alex in informal settings is fine by me, and Captain as of about a week ago.” Alex knew that most Captains would shy away form telling a new crew they had only been recently promoted, but he also knew that word travels fast and he would rather the Command Staff hear it form him then as scuttlebutt in the passageways. “My training lies heavily in Security, but I have managed to ‘branch out’ a bit during my years in Star Fleet. Prior to this, I was the Executive Officer of the USS Ark Angel. I was previously stationed on Deep-Space exploratory vessels, system defense ships, and a deep space station. I have attended the Academy, Vulcan Science Academy, and the Klingon War College in the course of my career. This is my first Science vessel. I’ll try not to scratch the paint.” he said with a small smile and wink.

“I have reviewed your records, and I will say in complete honesty that I am duly impressed. There is a lot of talent and knowledge in this room. And I expect we will both utilize all of that and add to it in the course of our travels here. I, for one, am very excited at the prospects of what lies before us. We just have to remember, at all times, that we are representatives of the Federation. What we say and do here reflects not just on us and the Manhattan, but on the Federation as a whole. And I am adamant that that reflection is a positive one.” and he looked around the table to ensure that his words were being taken seriously.

“So enough from me. Let’s start with Engineering. Lieutenant Commander Wynter, what do you have for us?”

Creed, XO

Bump for CE

Olivia had snuck in mid way through the captain’s introduction of him self. Even with the cup of of her favorite coffee it was still hard to keep her eyes open. Drake circles had already begun forming under her eyes. She had been spending most of her off duty hours trying to get the crew evaluations finished. She had just a handful of the junior officers left, and the senior staff.
She would try to make appointments with the senior officer before she left.

Grace, CNS

Cochrane nodded at the Counselor in acknowledgement of her arrival. As he waited for the Chief Engineer to finish dealing with his aside matter, Cochrane looked at the rest of the officers. “Who wants to go next?”

Cochrane, CO

bump

“I can go next, sir.” Riali volunteered, figuring she might as well stick her hand out there. Tapping the PaDD before her with the pad of her finger, she glanced over at Cochrane for confirmation before she drowned them in a science update.
