Jasmine was a bit concerned at the intense headache Calloway was experiencing. It should have been annoying pain like when someone turns on a light when you are in a dark room and not the physical wince she displayed. Pulling out a tricorder she again scanned the area. “Did the pain feel like something stabbing you in the head or was it just the shock of opening your eyes?” Jasmine was not going to alarm Faye yet but sharp, intense pain out of the blue was an indicator for some sort of brain bleeding. None of the exams had shown a burst aneurysm but with the force of the explosion and everyone concentrating on the burn, it was not out of the realm of possibilities.

“More that the bright light brought on a stabbing pain behind the eye,” Faye said.

“Can you tell me your full name?”

“Faye Calloway. no middle name” Faye said squinting a bit as the throbbing pain receded.

“What day is it?”

“Uhhh, Stardate 2019032.4?”

“What ship are you on?” Jasmine fired off gently but firmly the standard question series asked off all patients thought to have had a traumatic brain injury. Brain bleeding was treatable but cellular loss due to insufficient blood supply was not. Time was of the essence which is why she was applying common sense medicine to the tech as she waited for all the results.

“The Manhattan.”

OCC: We’re you planning on any brain damage from this. Let me know the tricorder results.

OOC: No. Will continue as discussed.
There was no bleeding, but there was evidence of a headache. It would require further checking in her medical history, but she had been prone to frequent migraines in the year after she returned from her captivity with the Romulans. Further details were classified, except to say that it had been a result of changes in the brain to due a medical procedure. As Faye recovered and her overall health improved, the migraines subsided and occur now only under times of high stress.

“Well, your scan is showing you are fine except for a residual traces of a migraine. I can prescribe you something if you wish. Other than that you are free to go. I a gong to suggest light duty for the next 48 hours but you are allowed to return to work unless you feel you need more time to recooperate,” Jasmine asked.

Faye gave Jasmine a sideways glance and gave a cheeky sort of salute. “Yes, ma’am.” She had already promised the Captain to follow the doctor’s instructions and she knew Cochrane just well enough at this point to know he’d give her hell if she strayed at all from those instructions. “An analgesic would be kind of nice right about now.”

“Do you want I can’t remember my name drunk without the hangover analgesic or Just enough to dull the pain analgesic,” Jasmine asked. “Don’t be brave of think I am going ot judge you. With the multitude of cocktails available to me it all about how you want to feel.”

Frowning slightly, Faye leaned forward ever so slightly. “What happened to your face?”

“I forgot bedside manner 101. Don’t get close to a patient that can’t see and has no idea what’s happening to them,” she laughed. “I so walked into your right hook which was a doozy by the way. I never did that well in the self-defense classes. It never made sense to me. I mean I learn to kick your ass but then I have to spend the next thirty minutes putting you back together again. Awkward,” she replied laughing. “Anyway, it is just a bruise and will heal.”
