A tall and thin Betazoid male could be seen waiting in sickbay. He would be new, and medical personnel could infer he was waiting for his board evaluation.Ensign Barvan, Security
Returning from lunch, Jasmine grabbed a PaDD in the waiting to be seen pile pulling up the first name. “Ensign Barvan no first name,” she said with a smile approaching the man she had just past entering sick bay. “I see your new to the Manhattan. Welcome aboard,” she nodded her head sticking out her hand. “I’m Doctor Wynters.”

“Barvan is my first name. My last name is redacted for personal reasons,” the Ensign would say as he shook Doctor Wynters’ extended hand.

“Interesting,” she said with a smile and motioned for him to follow her towards a biobed. “You arent the first person on this ship to want to create a new life for yourself. Any issues I should be aware before I start you exam,” she asked.

“None, Any health issues I may experience are mental in nature and are the CNS’ concern, not yours.”

Jasmine looked at him and let out a small laugh. “You know as the CMO I have the power to claim anyone unfit for duty even the captain,” she winked at him good-naturedly as she read the results of the medical scan.
“Well, you are right. You are fit as a fiddle,” she set down the tricorder. “So anything else you want to talk about or tell me about before I clear you,” Jasmine looked at the ensign with a sincere expression. It seemed like Barvan wanted to bring up a subject and yet he also seemed resistant to. Jasmine wasn’t going to push him but she wanted him to know she was there if he wanted to talk. The guy was young and just off his cadet cruise. Jasmine remembered her first few years in Starfleet. It was a happy but at times lonely life. All she wanted Barvan to know was that she could be Dr. Wynter the CMO or Jasmine Wynter a friend.
