Logan found himself in his office. He was catching up on his regular required security reports. This while drinking a large mug of steaming hot coffee.

The chime on the door to his office soon interrupted his coffee drinking, report reading time. When the door slid open, an average sized, but athletic ensign in a gold-trimmed uniform would be revealed. Her blue eyes quickly scanned the office, taking in her surroundings in an organized, methodical fashion before finally resting on the COS. Her stride lengthy and brisk, she entered the room and positioned herself in front of his desk, standing stiffly at attention.

“Ensign Michaels reporting for duty, sir,” she reported crisply.

Ensign Michaels, Sec

Bump.

The office itself was a rather normal one. It had the standard issue desk with an lcars terminal and flat screen display on it. There were three comfy chairs, two of which were meant for visitors, as they faced Logan, across from he desk, where he was seated in the third chair.

He rose to greet the new arrival. And put out his hand for a hand shake. “Welcome aboard the Manhattan!” He said. “I’m Lt. Logan Drake. Please, have a seat. Are you finding your way around the ship?”

Elizabeth stared at his hand for a beat, the friendliness of the gesture taking her aback briefly. She soon recovered and reached out to firmly shake his hand. “Thank you, Lieutenant,” she replied politely and made her way to the proffered chair. Sinking down, she sat just barely on the front of it, holding her body tensely upright.

“Yes, sir, I am,” she responded simply and then waited to see if he had any other questions for her.

“Good, good,” Logan replied. “After we’re done with your introductory interview, you’ll need to check in with the medical and counseling divisions.”

“You’ll note that the sensitive sections of the ship - this office, the armory and the brig - aren’t listed in the specifications.”
