There were no further signs beyond the subspace rupture they had detected earlier

Walker looked up at the screen, he was not looking forward to going after whatever had hit them. Having the station and the other ships had split up the impact. But if they were off by themselves, who knows how well they’d fair. Each hit wasn’t super powerful, but they overwhelmed them with just the sheer amount of shots.

But at this point, it didn’t look like they were going to get a lot of options if they were going to find out why they were targeted.

Riali monitored scans of their general vicinity, keeping an eye out for the suspected rip in space and anything else related to the Vaadwaur vessel. She was fascinated by the thought of the Vaadwaur, their intentions and where they had come from. Their attack had been systematic, in a sense, using quantity of strength. It was a unique approach, but she doubted it was the full extent of what they were capable of.

Deandres, CSO

Another thought struck Alex and his head whipped around to the CSO. “Lieutenant. Can you track the radiological signature coming off those probes? We know it matches the contamination on the Vaadwaur homeworld, but maybe we can use it as a kind of tracker… or early warning system. I would put hard currency on the fact that we can get a reading of that signature before things pop in to surprise us.”

Cochrane, CO

The signature of the probes was unique, but there was no current detectable signal beyond the subspace rupture they had previously detected. That rupture did not seem to be shrinking, and there was no detectable signature beyond it.

Keeping one eye on the console or incoming weapons, Celina brought up all available information about the Vaadwaur military. Maybe there was something they overlooked about their strategy or armaments that could help them plan against other attacks.

“They could have destroyed us all if they wanted to,” Logan noted. “As it is, they’ve just disabled all of our ships. After they scanned us for our capabilities.”

Andy

“Sir… I remember notes from Voyager on the Vaudwaar… if I recall they had some kind of network, subspace tunnels. This signature… I think it could be one of those. There attacks maybe limited to exit points in those tunnels, which… may mean we can follow them.” Jack suggested as he looked over at Cochrane.

Creed, XO

“Then let’s get us moving and try to see if we can make our way into there through that rupture. Status reports, and how long till we are operational on the warp drive?”

Cochrane, CO

“Checking on it right now Captain,” Walker said as he sent an update request to engineering, for an update on how long till they had warp drive.

WO Darach - COO

Logan was busy bringing the weapons up to full power status. He was also running diagnostics on the targeting scanners that were getting repaired.
