Holodeck III - Life Sized Chess

Posted Dec. 17, 2019, 4:43 p.m. by Ensign Barvan (Security Officer) (Luke Paris)

OOC:

Anyone that wants to either play Barvan or play on a team with and against Barvan is welcome to join in. This, by the way, will be an actual game of chess that I plan to catalog using a long-form chess game, probably on chess.com

IC:

Barvan loves chess. That’s something everybody who knows him knows. Not only that, he’s very fond of chess that’s weird in some way.

Barvan, being in the mood to play such a game of chess, left a message on the USS Manhattan’s common message system announcing to all personnel the game of chess in Holodeck III as well as asking to arrive at a specific date.

Before that date, Barvan arrived to create the chess board.

“Computer, create a life-sized chess board,” the Ensign said.

The computer would comply. It would create a wonderful life-sized chess board with pieces as big as Barvan.

“Computer, add two viewing galleries on each side. High enough to view the entire board.”, the Ensign added.

The computer would, once again, comply. It would create two viewing galleries on each side, each with a bench on top of each one.

Barvan then moved to the top of the viewing gallery occupying the white side. The potential players were asked to walk right into Holodeck III upon arrival.
